Chevre Plays Pokemon White Nuzlocke - Ruff Beginnings

This forum is specifically for discussing non-Mafia games
(board, card, video, we're not picky)
.
Playing
such games should happen in the Mish Mash forum, of course.

Chevre Plays Pokemon White Nuzlocke - Ruff Beginnings

I don't know how many people actually frequent the Arcade for new threads as opposed to posting in the ones which were moved here, but I figured there's no loss in trying something new.

I'm incredibly bored, so I wondered if it would be interesting if I chose a game to play through and post my progress here. I would probably be able to do only text stuff unless it was a PC game, then I could throw some screenshots in. As for systems, I have a DS so I can play any games and GBA games I have, and any PC freeware or maybe relatively cheap stuff. I'm not really so much opposed to ROMs anymore as I find them somewhat complex and still very sketchy, so probably none of those.

So yeah, I need y'all to pick a game for me to play, like I said, anything like under $5 on PC is doable, and here is a list of DS and GBA games I have, so you can see what I like (warning, I'm not a very hardcore gamer as you will see). Of course, I've played many of these through before, so if you have any additional challenges, I'm up for them!

GBA Games

Classic NES Series: The Legend of Zelda (never fully beat)
Final Fantasy IV
Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games
Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup
Mario Party Advance
Pokemon Sapphire
Pokemon FireRed
Pokemon Emerald

DS Games

Animal Crossing: Wild World
Elite Beat Agents
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (never fully beat)
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
New Super Mario Bros.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team
Pokemon Diamond
Pokemon HeartGold (never fully beat)
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time (I somehow acquired two copies of this, if you want to do something interesting with that lol)
Pokemon White
Pokemon White 2
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future
Scribblenauts
Super Mario Bros. 64 DS
Touch Detective 21/2
The Urbz: Sims in the City (never fully beat)

I haven't played the DS version but SM64 is ridiculously fun.
I'll explain it to you. You have to get someone else to understand it for you.

I do enjoy SMB64, though I've played it quite a bit, so if you have any sort of challenge, I'll try it.

Also it is a super old cartridge, I literally got it with my first DS like ten years ago.

Any preference on a Nuzlocke? I've done HeartGold unsuccessfully, so preferably not that; I made it to the Kimono Girls with like 3 water pokemon, so I stood no chance against Jolteon-Girl.

It's largely the same one, but you get to play as more characters.

Also, any gen V game.

POKEMON WHITE NUZLOCKE GO!

I've never Nuzlocked a Gen V game because I actually think that would be really difficult, but a lot of people say it is really easy so why not give it a try. My rules:
1. Any pokemon that faints dies and is placed in the "Graveyard" PC box. RIP!
2. I can only catch the first pokemon that appears in each area. I know White has some funky area divisions but whatever, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Duplicates don't count if the pokemon in question is still alive.
3. Nicknames of course. I think I'll make it so it's just whatever nicknames come to mind.
4. Battle style is "set."
5. Level limit is next gym leader's highest leveled pokemon. This is the only thing I'll be looking up though; like I've played before but I'm not going to look up anything else.

I also used an additional rule that your Trainer ID determines your starter, with 1-3 being Grass-type, 4-6 being Fire-type, and 7-9 being Water-type, and 0 being players' choice. I got 3, so I chose Snivy, and I named it Snuggles!

On Route 1 I successfully caught my favorite pokemon: Lillipup! I named it Ruffie!

In the Accumula Town battle with N Ruffie got down to 1HP but luckily did not die :)

On Route 2 I caught a Patrat which I'm naming Stinky because I hate Patrats. But it has Bite right now so

I got the obligatory Panpour in the Dreamyard, named it Porrin.

Right now I'm grinding for Striaton City:

Image Ruffie the Lillipup (Lv. 13) (Met at Route 1)
Image Snuggles the Snivy (Lv. 13) (Met in Nuvema Town)
Image Porrin the Panpour (Lv. 13) (Met in the Dreamyard)
Image Stinky the Patrat (Lv. 11) (Met at Route 2)

Platinum's actually the hardest, apparently. That said, you did pick Snivy...
