So I have no idea how many of you guys are diehard borderlands fans like I am, but I'm sure there is a handful of fans of the series out there.

Today we had some news. Wonderful News. News of GOING TO THE MOTHER FUCKING MOON.

"Australian humour"? Count me out. I don't like that one bit.

However, this Athena character really does peak my interest quite a bit. Anyone reminiscent of Aigis's evolved persona in Persona 3? Pallas Athena, who had a shield and spike. Ring any bells?

I just hope I don't have to pay as much as Borderlands 2 when it first came out for this game. Oxygen idea isn't bad but I won't comment on it until I see it first hand.

I honestly think this game will be done much better than BL2 (or maybe this is just hopeful me because gearbox doesn't have control.) As for Persona 3, i know nothing about it so maybe?

The oxygen stuff looks really interesting due to the jet packs and butt slams, and from the videos it doesn't look like O2 will be hard to come by. PLUS it seems Wilhelm has a really support spec, or something because the O2 bubbles were popping up around him frequently in the one video I sat and picked over with Bahroo one evening. (You may know him, he's a big youtuber/streamer of BL2)

As the for the price, its gonna be full price. Randy Pitchford already said there will be DLC during PAX East Gearbox Panel. Its not just a small game. Its supposedly bigger than Borderlands 1, but will be smaller than BL2, story wise, and I think bl1 was well worth full price, and bl2 has paid for itself several times over in my eyes as I have a stupid amount of hours into just the play time. I don't even want to think about the time i've spent watching videos and learning the ins and outs of the game.

I will probably have 100 hours into this game by the end of the month between streaming and playing with other streamers.

For anyone who knows nothing about TPS, it is borderlands 1.5 in story, and 2.5 in game engine. 2K australia has done a lot of optimizing to the game and has added in a new element as well as low gravity and jetpacks and butt slams. This game will feel and play a whole lot different than BL2 did. Playthrough 2 is supposedly going to really ramp up the difficulty which has me super stoked and I cannot WAIT to grind out too goddamn many hours into this game.

I ran into a gamebreaking bug already, in the first 1.5 hours of play. I had a gate that was down, and it wouldn't go up because it was "waiting for all players to arrive". Had to get a friend to join in. Then I ran into

another

frustration with the game, where I went in the wrong entrance to get back to a quest in an area, can't go backwards, and have to find the other entrance by going through an entire zone, then the zone that I went in the wrong side of. It's fun, I'm enjoying it, but it's very frustrating so far, especially with the oxygen mechanic.

I've honestly never run out of O2 once. There's so many Oxygen vents or enemies to kill that drop canisters.

I might have already beaten TVHM and 2 levels from 50 which is level cap. And about that 100 hrs by the end of the month? Try 100 hours by the end of next week. Already at 44 hours..... I know i'll hit 50h today. As for BL2 i have somewhere around 800-1000 hours into that game.

BUT that being said if anyone is playing claptrap and wants to know how to build and how to play him, I'm more than willing help people out.

I suck. Took me like 3 tries to get that first boss (deadlift) down, am I missing a mechanic? Should I have been butt slamming or something? Playing Athena, was level 6 at the time.

butt slamming helps a bit. You also need to just be constantly moving, I found.

deadlift is a bitch of a boss cuz of his AI with him jumping from platform to platform. Just remember to stay on level with story missions. Also the shotguns (jacobs and 3/4 barrel torgue's) do amazing in this game.

With Athena, try to remember that her shield is hilariously good, has a super-short cooldown, and only blocks in front of you. I found Deadlift easy by constantly jumping over him with a laser gun, and Captain America-ing with the Aspis

This game doesn't like ati, crossfire, the newest drivers or it is badly optimized.

Hit 8fps at one point, a 280x and a 7970 crossfired shouldn't let me drop that low, lol
