I am free to play tonight if you guys want to but you got to let me know what time you will be on

I prefer payload but will play whatever game type.

I will play any class but I have been meaning to try a new scout loudout
Backscatter
Winger
Sandman

Winger has mobility that allows you to get in close and use the Backscatter
Winger has mobility and range that makes up for the sandman's loss of health
Sandman let's you stun to get in close with the Backscatter
Sandman gives you long and close range abilities to make up for your guns' low clip sizes
Backscatter deals good damage especially when close and behind the enemy

I don't like bonk and atomizer with backscatter since 4 shells and a slow swing melee is a bad offense and since bonk needs to charge, you can't always escape. That loudout feels too situational while the one above should be more versatile as the items better compliment each others' strengths and weaknesses

I do not normally play scout. I find the class dies too easily without having alot of fun. I tried that loudout. It works very well though it seems to die alot more than I want. So I think I'm going to sub out the sandman for the pan. I was not getting much use out of that baseball and would much perfer more health

If I'm tryharding, here are the loadouts I typically use. Admittedly, I rarely played Soldier or Engineer even when I played regularly, so my items on those might be outdated.

Scout - Scattergun, Pretty Boy, Frying Pan (or bat or any other weapon that doesn't have any stat changes)
Soldier - Original, Shotgun, Escape Plan
Pyro - Flamethrower, Flare Gun, Axtinguisher
Demo - Nade Launcher, Sticky Launcher, Bottle
Heavy - Minigun, Shotgun/Sandvich (depends on situation), GRU
Engi - Shotgun, Pistol, Wrench
Medic - Overdose, Medigun, Ubersaw
Sniper - Sniper Rifle, SMG, Tribalman's Shiv
Spy - Ambassador, Spy-Cicle, Cloak & Dagger, Sapper

That said, I pretty much play to dick around nowadays, and I only play maybe an hour or two a week. Mained scout for a long time, was on a comp team for like two weeks before I decided to play competitive L4D instead.

Scout - Scattergun, Bonk, Atomizer (Back scatter's clip too small)
Soldier - Original, Shotgun, Disciplinary action (I am pocket soldier in 6's)
Pyro - Degreaser, Shotgun, Powerjack
Demo - Nade Launcher, Sticky Launcher, Bottle (All stock!)
Heavy - Minigun, Sandvich, GRU
Engi - Rescue Ranger, Wrangler, Southern Hospitality (Build anywhere, fuck up spys)
Medic - Stock needle, Medigun, Ubersaw
Sniper - Heatmaker, Darwin, Ham Shank
Spy - Revolver, Knife, sapper, dead ringer

Stock weapons may be boring but they are the most reliable weapons in the game

I find the best way to design a good fun loudout is to start with a weapon you want to use, add a weapon that makes up for that weapons faults, add a stock weapon

Yeah, with only a few minor exceptions same here. (For example, I don't often actually USE the Axtinguisher, but it's situationally better than the regular axe.)

Really Overdose, and my Spy items are the only real exceptions, and even the Spy stuff comes down more to style/preference than anything else.

I use some nonstandard items, but mostly because I just like them not because I think they're superior in some way

Stock has always been best choice but given the recent gun mettle patch and alot of game play changes, there alot of weapons that were bad which are now good

Hit me up if you guys want to play the new TF2 GO update

They didn't nerf much just the really over powered stuff. They buffed more things than they nerfed. Variety in the game is back. Before the stock minigun was undoubtedly the best heavy weapon. Now they are all really good and useful for different reasons. There isn't one gun that does it all. I agree with 90% of the changes they made.

Back when I stopped playing, the Tomislav was an awesome weapon for Heavy. Is it still good?
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

They nerfed it, nerfed it again, and now they buffed it so its not best but its still very good.

It was once the only acceptable heavy weapon, now everything is good sometimes. Heavy meta as a whole has gotten good as a result of recent updates

I just saw the halloween comic. Now I'm going to have to reinstall the game. Those old halloween maps were fun, like that manor one with the pumpkin guy.

EVERY SINGLE MERASMISSION gave me a pyro cosmetic. :/

I never got all the man manor hats that year and since the gifts were gone i had to get those hats randomly this year. got engy and soldier paper bags

I liked the new merasmissions but getting rid of the old way to get those hats upset me as I had planned to get them all this year. instead I've only got 2 and since they are not craftable saxton hail hat is impossible for me to get

I really hope they change this next year

Mann manor used to drop one of the 9 paper bag masks every X amount of minutes (So 1/9 chance you get the one you want, as I had none of these it was a 9/9 chance I would get what I wanted)

Now all those gifts are replaced with gargoyle soul drops that don't give any hats.

All halloween maps now have merasmissions. Completing them gives you a random halloween mask from any year.

So my odds of getting what I want by playing on that map just went from 9/9 to 9/9000 (Seriously tf2 has too many Halloween hats)

I am fine with them adding a new way to get hats, but getting rid of the old way to get them, screwed me over

PF I might have an extra set of masks from the original Halloween event. Don't remember if I traded them away or not. Hit me up on steam sometime.

I was lucky enough to get the paper bag soldier, engy and heavy during the halloween event this year. Suprised I got any let alone three since odds were against me.

What would you want for the masks you got glork?
