they repeated the same trade over and over again and the dragonuv backed off at the exact right moment to avoid being rage-arted; it's interesting because of how improbable it was and the mind games involved

Yo, does anyone on this site have any interest in playing a non-smash fighting game? Steam sale is soon and I'm willing to play whatever anyone is interested in. I just want to have a group of people and play something. I'll buy any game I don't currently own that y'all are playing/interested in(aside from smash cause it's switch only and I don't have a switch) on PC/PS4. Lately, I've been playing Tekken and SamSho 2019. I also own Sam Sho 5 special, Street Fighter 5, Soul Calibur 6, DOA6 core fighters, KOF98, Killer Instinct, Marvel Infinite, and a few older games on twitch that I can't seem to see right now cause twitch library is freaking out and saying I have nothing. I think a Fatal Fury game and Last Blade and SamSho2. But yeah, I'll buy anything I don't have anyway so just hit me up if you want to play some fighting games.

I stopped playing Guilty Gear Revelator because my local scene for it is small and one of the local players is a jerk, but I really liked the game. I'd be down to play a bunch of Guilty Gear Revelators based on pinging me on discord to see when I'm free. I think my own personal latency was pretty good when playing online.
I've sampled a lot of the other games you've listed and find them stylistically less interesting to me than Gear. Maybe I should try SamSho but there's no local scene, although that's the same as saying "it's not street fighter" around here, and Street Fighter seems boring to me.

Sam Sho seems like it wouldn't be your thing? It's very neutral heavy and focused on turn pokes into damage and counter hit stuff. I dig it because it's not really a game you have to lab too much but the online seems entirely dead, mostly because delay based net code + outdated ui/matchmaking system. I really enjoy the game a lot tho and wish I got to play it more.

Revelator 2 is just DLC to Revelator, there's only 2-3 more characters and some silly feature like alternate costumes or something? I think I upgraded my PS4 copy to Rev4 but not my PC copy.

GG is complicated, but, like you just block low, block high, hit high, and hit low, and slowly learn the fancy stuff as you go. I enjoy it in spite of being really bad at a lot of the really hard stuff.

Do I have you on discord? I want to hit you up closer to steam sale.

I tend to enjoy neutral heavy games/matchups, but I definitely don't enjoy bad netcode, I go out of my way to play live for the most part.
