Did any of you hear of this MMO? Someone on Sitechat showed it to me but I can't remember who...

In NA and EU it is currently in Alpha stage with the last closed beta event ending yesterday and open beta to be announced tomorrow.

I have played in that closed beta event and in my opinion it is pretty damn great. The developer calls it a "Sandpark MMO" so it's something of a mixture between Sanbox and Themepark MMOs. (you build your own house/farm/ship and can extensively PvP and steal from others but there is also a normal quest system etc).

Generally it is a game were many things are quite risky to do and you often rely on your group/friends/guild.
The combat system is pretty unique in that you build your class by choosing 3 out of 10 skilltrees, so thats 120 possibilities for classes.

Greatest thing for me are the gliders, they are an awesome way of travelling.

As I said, I greatly enjoyed it and would encourage everyone to try it.

Trion has produced a couple of decent games, but honestly this one doesn't do it for me from what I've seen.

You might like UO, it's old and the graphics are shit but IMHO it's still the most fun that a person can have in video games today. Nothing beats the adrenaline of trying to escape with your phat loot with multiple murderers on your tail Many quality free servers out there.

Yeah, I am concerned about this, too. PvP-wise there actually shouldn't be a problem from what I have seen, f2p players are p much able to get the same equipment, but it sucks that housing will be a sub feature, also they will be generating more labor points, thus being able to craft, gather etc. more.

So Open Beta for this is gonna be from September 4 (Thursday) to September 8 (Monday) and official launch will be September 16.

SWTOR is f2p and subs gets boosts but I still think its a good game. I'm also going to try this.

It's just not polished at all. The quest system is pretty clunky... map is linear (basically, with branching paths). Combat system doesn't feel particularly engaging. Weird choices for quest dialogue boxes... it literally loads up a separate cutscene with the quest box, where you can just click "agree" and return to the actual game. Or, you can click arrows to watch the cutscene. It's super weird.

This game has some pretty interesting mechanics though I like it~

Oh wow, I haven't played this in a while now, i don't even remember what server i am on (was only lvl 20 or something anyway).
I should play this again...
