I receive first by sudo's choice and get a few good blocks in, stunning 3 elves turn 1, but fumble picking up the ball on my last action with 2 dudes near it so I let it turnover to save the reroll. I pick up the ball with a centaur next turn and start moving down the field, but start getting ko'd, and eventually just get swarmed down by elves after taking 2 hobgoblin kos and a dwarf ko with none of his elves getting injured. he scores on turn 8 after a few closeish calls with repeated horse dodges.

I do a lot better second half, badly hurting 2 elves and killing one before he apocs to save it and put it in reserve by the end of it, but can't quite stop his block of elves that gets past me in the south part of the field. He scores a second time, lands the ball on the touchdown line and it bounces forward one square, and I play a little sloppy and he goes for it against my guy with the ball 9-10 squares away from two of his elves, knocking him down and he gets a third touchdown while I just wale on elves for a while longer.

I did finally get a levelup though! Added Guard to a dwarf blocker, and my two bull centaurs both have 5 spp so hopefully they'll be a lot more threatening after another game or two.
