6 months ago riot released they have 100 million monthly users, almost double from 2014. And the esports scene is far strong than anything not called DOTA. League is "dying" guys.

The esports scene used to be stronger than dota, but I wasn't here to argue, my bad. I just wanted the second/third opinion. I honestly feel like if people aren't trolling in game, they shouldn't be punished. The mute button exists for a reason. Salty people shouldn't be able to ban their conquerors because they typed a few things they chose to read. Riot shouldn't nanny people, and it limits the game to children/students.

If you think that you should be able to shout homophobic slurs at people who you do not know because you are there "conqueror" you are the child.

Permabanned for being a multiple time offender of the terms of use rule 5.1, particularly article iii which talks about harassing players in game. Also, would note that you admitted to breaking article xiii which is about boosting accounts.

Note that 5.1 encapsulated trolling, flaming, threatening, and harassing other users, basically stating that all are equally bad things.

In summary, don't be a racist homophobe, and don't try to justify that behavior by stating that pro players (2 of which retired 2-3 years ago) who have all been punished by riot for that behavior, got famous off it(hint: they got famous for being very good at the fastest growing game in the world during their pro careers).

Also for a guy who knows pro players from 2-3 years ago (and their behavior from like 6 years ago) to still be in silver, you likely aren't anyone's conqueror. You are an average player, a long tenured one at that. You are as likely to be the crushee as to be the crusher. You are probably just mad cause sometimes bad.

The harassment rules are pussyshit is basically my point. Most of high elo NA (still some live pros) has elo boosted at some point. It was more profitable than esports for a long while, at least while I still gave a fuck. Riot let people like Hotshot gamethrow constantly for personal vendettas(me being one of them), but only got uppity about his vulgar language. Some expert trolls would fart sunshine and rainbows in chat despite intentionally game throwing against people they don't like and they would, and probably still, get away with it. Who cares about how good I am? Win or lose, trash talk is fun and you can always mute if you don't like someone. But no, let's just ban people for being homophobic and problematic? Riot treats their userbase like children, and doesn't put enough emphasis on actual game ruining players.

League died because the people who made it what it is quit.

It strayed too far from what it used to be imo.

For a dead game it sure does have a lot of players.

It's not dead but it's definitely not at it's peak anymore. Peak was definitely like late S1 or S3.

I don't play anymore so I am going off of what seems to be the general consensus from my friends that still do.

It's not dead but it's certainly declined both in playerbase and quality of experience from the times that I am talking about. I tried to get back into it multiple times and it just doesn't feel the same anymore for me for several reasons, some of which are due to personal changes but a lot of it is due to changes in the game.

The emphasis on helping junglers gank more without getting behind is awful and the current 'free ward' situation is awful. I used to go back and buy four wards for both sides of the lane for 6 minutes because I would get camped so much and now I can only ward one side some of the time.
