Magmar is another. I never played pokemon before Go so I just assumed there were some pokemon that didn't have evolutions but just googling Magmar now I see he is supposed to be the middle of an evolution chain so that's kinda odd...

I'm yet to find any electric, fire, or fighting types. Where do they spawn?

Magmar got given evolutions in a later game, as did Electabuzz and possibly some others that didn't have any before.
Golbat and Magneton are also two that evolved further in a later game.

Magmar and Electabuzz got pre-evos, though. Baby forms so that Pichu wouldn't be the only one of those.

Magmars are fire, right? The only Magmars I found, I found on a golf course. Not sure why.

Maybe because Niantic is an american company, or maybe because summer holidays only began this week.

Take your pick.

Worked for me with Flareon, worked for Reck and Grimm for a few as well

some people on reddit think it either only works once for each Eeveelution, or it's just a much higher chance than a guaranteed thing

It worked for me with both Flareon and Vaporeon. Still a few candies away from trying it with Jolteon.

I have one 10K egg just waiting for an incubator slot to open up to start hatching it. Unfortunately the GPS sampling for distance seems to be crap so a 10K egg could mean as much as 40K actual walking distance according to some reports on reddit :?

I generally walk over 10km daily, and have only hatched 1 10km so far, but that's kind of beside the point when the majority of the time I wouldn't have this game turned on. I have about 3km left on my second 10km egg though, and I might get that done if I go walking back and forth to the pokestop down the street tomorrow.

I suppose I'm waiting on it to decide whether to continue powering up the Papers or not

This game has shot me from being at the bottom of my friends list in steps taken on fitbit, to being the reigning king, by a lot, currently at 140k steps last 7 days, next closest is 88k lol

Yay, it is finally out here.

For some reason it is not available to my phone, though, just my tablet... Oh well.

I suppose that will help me know when to leave the house, especially since I've already worked out the timings for the spawn points near me, although it would be easier if the nearby list worked on that same principle, as I generally didn't care about the old three feet ones.

So I was trying to find a pokemon ball looking eating bowl so I could make the Hawiian dish Poke in it.

But as it turns out googling "pokemon ball bowl" gives almost exclusively bowls like this:

Like this? Oh but that seller only ships within UK. You could go to a pottery cafe and make your own?

Edit: Okay I've only just figured out that thing you posted is a pipe.

My 10k eggs keep spawning bug types (Pinsir, Pinsir, Scyther). It's kind of annoying.
