Holy shit, Orteil updated the game again this year.

Pre-this huge update I played it for like a solid year and got into the octillions (all time).

Come this update and in 4 or so months im back in the octillions already.
I'm not mad.

ftr if you put your highest cursor upgrade in the permanent upgrade slots after buying it it speeds up the early reset game immensely.

I started a new game from scratch after the big update, and I'm in the nonillions (I bake about one or 2 decillion per ascension)
I just bought the most expensive Prestige Upgrade, the one that gives 1% chance to spawn 2 Golden Cookies. Still waiting for that sweet sweet Frenzy + Elder Frenzy + Dragonflight combo

I'm thinking of saving up for the extra wrinkler upgrade cos I bet that'd increase my idle output by a good bit.

After some calculation, having 10 wrinklers multiplies your CpS by 6, while having 12 multiplies it by 8.32. That's a 39% increase, so go for it!

I really should try getting back into CC someday.
Something that's really sad about this game is that it's most people's only experience with incremental games, and it kinda gives off the wrong image. In any online discussion about these games, most people will start dropping lines like "I don't see why you'd play a game with no gameplay", or "They're only popular because they're addictive", which are wrong about 95% of the better games in the genre.

I just play the game because I like cookies
(Also, idle games with "real gameplay" require too much attention for me. That's why I gave up on Clicker Heroes : I was just too complicated, and I don't really want to think too much about these games)

Idk the reason why I stopped liking Clicker Heroes is because upon reset it takes a stupid long amount of time to reach high levels again. It's only so linear in how fast you can get back to the same place, while Cookie Clicker and, say, Adv Cap are incrementally faster and faster to blaze through the earlygame in. Late game adv cap can have you earning like quattorvigintillions right from the start.

Clicker Heroes 1.0 changed that a lot. I've transcended around 7-8 times and the acceleration to higher hero souls amounts per run can go up to a matter of 100-1000x each run.
