Mirajen said it in the Act 6 cutscene. More details here. (tl;dr Brackendeep used to be the colony of a surface empire where the royal family all died under mysterious circumstances. Without the empire to defend it, other Underdark races attacked it. There are two military factions that rose to enough power to force a truce--the Order of Defiance, which is Pelorean and is led by an archangel called Raphmiel, and the Knights of the Dust, the legacy of a military commander called Orthrax who made a dark pact with a mysterious entity in exchange for serving it after his death.)

Now that I'm thinking about it, do we know which order Mirajen is from?

I guess I can't think of any rational reason to suspect Allea, considering the amulet, but meh.

No damage type is listed for the 2d4 damage from the explosion. Does this mean that it's untyped and thus affected by neither ER nor DR?

Plan for interrogating Miramane:
Step 1: Ask her about Allea.
Step 2: If she refuses, knock her out, put her in a bag.
Step 3: Point out that we have the amulet of curing her disease. She is evil and wants to live, hopefully this outweighs any loyalty she may have had.
Step 4: Provided she gives us enough information, cure her with the amulet. (She stays in the bag)
Step 5: Cast atonement on her, turn her good again. Depending on what information she gave us, keep her in the bag.

I ask her to start with with diplo, if she refuses Jorik asks her with intimidate. Imogen watches and tells us if she lies.
