Sorry if this is the wrong thread.

But I saw a 5th Ed Starter kit on sale over Christmas and my gf, her sister and a couple of their friends are interested in all playing for the first time. I have never played 5th Ed, but have played forms of tabletop rpgs before but also never run a campaign.

What are some tips or things I should look out for to accommodate a lack of knowledge on everyone's part?

^The numbers are going to look funny, I had her put in who's buffs (enlarge person, haste, bless, not protection from evil) into the character sheet assuming they'd always be up
