my sister is a gaming junkie as well as i am and i *have* to have allll the systems lol
and this comes out on my birthday month
and then i see mario kart with splatoon characters and i was like "welp, my sister is gonna want this soo freaking bad now" so i guess im gonna have to get it
then i saw this puyo puyo tetris thing, and i am a HUGE SUCKER FOR PUZZLE GAMES so im sold already lol
I don't have a review but I can say that those worrying about the Wii U version of Zelda shouldn't - comparing my experience to descriptions of the Switch version it runs about the same. Get it.
I have it, it's great but Zelda is the only thing really on it.
Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?
missed out on getting one, will have to wait a while. But it seems like it's doing really well and people are enjoying it. I'm pretty excited still to play Snipper clips and Zelda. I just hope I can avoid spoilers ~_~

None of the content that can challenge your frame rate comes up before you.. well spoilers.. but don't play the first two hours and say "nothing slows down this game even though I am playing on a Wii u in the Mojave desert".
I've found sections that will slow down even the Switch handheld, presumably the most powerful configuration. It's not bothersome though.
Funny enough, the last Zelda to have slowdown issues was the first one right? But in this one the slowdown is usually in towns with torches and fireflies, not knights you need to dodge, thankfully
But yeah, while there is slowdown on the Wii U, and more than on the Switch, it's not much worse and it's definitely not bad - if you have a Wii U, don't hold off on getting Zelda just because you're waiting for the Switch to be worth buying.
The lag is fairly uncommon (you will spend most of your experience with a solid 30, a small portion at 30 with occasional lags, and a smaller portion with consistent lag), and it's very rarely at key points either so it doesn't tend to get in your way - it's most common in towns and stables rather than dungeons and volcanoes.
Just went through Best Buy today. The Wii U version of Zelda was pretty bare while the Switch version had abundant copies. That doesn't say very flattering things about the Switch. These are actually the first two Wii U copies of the game I've even found at a retailer while the Switch versions are pretty easy to find.

it's because nintendo underproduced launch units AGAIN
I mean, its clearly intentional by them. Agree or disagree. With that said, even if it wasn't, the wii u obviously has a much bigger install base than the switch is going to have in the first 3 weeks. Even if the switch is doing well for sales (which it is). They only released like 1.5m units on launch day and another 500k by the end of march. There are like ~14m wii u's.

I heard that the Wii U version was underproduced while the Switch version had a fairly standard run
The Switch has actually sold pretty well from what little data I've looked at - way better than Wii U at least
Wii u sold 400k first week in the US which ended up as over 3 million in 8 weeks.
It just didn't sell much after that.
Launch sales of Nintendo consoles don't mean much.
