I've been playing Stardew Valley, trying to figure things out with minimal looking things up, but I'm getting confused trying to work the controls. It feels like the game was really meant to be played with a mouse.

Swap almost god tier and god tier, Yoshi's Island and world, 64 and NSMB and I'm with you.

(Mario 2, do.you mean lost levels? Or the US Mario 2 where you play as peach etc? I love that game, I'd rate it way higher)

Not sure where to place oddyssey yet though. I think galaxy 2 is better than it so far (though I haven't beat the story. Am at 200 moons though)

64 was revolutionary for its time but holy shit it did NOT hold up well at all. Going back to play it now is excruciating from a camera/graphics standpoint.

Sunshine was okay but it felt a lot like a 64 retread, didn't do a whole lot different, and FLUDD was a nightmare to control IMO.

Granted, both games are still miles above most other games. But when compared to the rest of the Mario series, I don't think they stand up at all.

hey y'all it's mr. super-late again! but i've been playing breath of the wild and it's so much fun!

like the perfect game for me. open world but laden with puzzles? yes! lots of super neat features and learning moments.

I bought Breath of the Wild when I got my Switch, but I haven't really played it. It seems like the kind of game I'd want to devote a day to, and I haven't had that time. And I won't buy Mario Odyssey until I finish BotW first.

Spoiler: Mario Odyssey endgame spoilers

100%'d everything in Odyssey except the bloody 100 skipping rope moon, loved the game so much, it felt fresh and new whilst still being familiar enough to jump right in, I loved all the environments and the cap jumping mechanics were so flexible and intuitive, I can't think of any major or even non-trivial issues I have. If you own a Switch buy this game immediately. Probably my favourite 3D Mario but obviously there's some bias towards it having just finished it. Darker side was decently challenging but nothing compared Galaxy 2 and 3D World's final challenges for me.

The fact it has Breath of the Wild, Mario + Rabbids, and Splatoon 2 are just happy bonuses.

Only 3 games really catch my eye so far- kart, odyessy, breath.

But there's the factor to consider that the next Pokemon game will be for the switch.

I'll work on getting the cash money's together for switch then.

BREATH OF THE WILD IS WORTH IT IMO

I mean I guess you coul'dve already had a wii u but

every day so far i'm like "OK I'm going to do this thing!" and then I'm like "oh no! I need more spicy peppers! Oh, these spicy peppers are near a shrine! Oh, this shrine is pretty close that tower I need to activate! Oh heck, why not activate all the towers?"

but it's all challenging and wow and there's lots of PUZZLES!!! And several solutions to those puzzles too

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the only reason I even have to particularly want a switch and I'm not sure it's enough by itself to get me to get one.

The main reason for me is I haven't got a TV.
But if Reck puts Odyssey with the Galaxy games then god damn, I'd like to play it some day, so hopefully some time down the line I'll get one.

The portability is super underrated IMO

it's like the main draw of the Switch for me
