wow ok im actually really annoyed

despite going at great lengths to make sure i would know ahead of time if i wasnt going to be here - and getting seemingly solid confirmation that i was available

i might try to keep up from my phone it's not as terrible as i thought and i'm not traveling across multiple states so i can charge it etc

Act 2 Introduction Cutscenes

Act 2 takes place about a week after Act 1.

Alexander Armsworth can be now found at the Town Hall, next to Melanie Carver.

You will be fully healed for Act 2. You also may buy non magical items from Candace, and CLW potions from Ruana during the downtime.

Raia still receives 200 story xp, as well as 200gp from Hook 1 completion, if you could make a note, Giga.

So, here is how Act 2 is going to go down.

The gas masks you found are old and not that reliable. They work okay in short term uses, but they have a 25% chance of failure every hour if you use them long term.

Alexander is going to give you each a
potion of water breathing
to be consumed at the beginning of the mines. It has been found to be effective in providing air to its users in unbreathable air. It lasts 10 hours.

Note that Alexander gave you a stack of maps, but you guys will only find trouble in that section of the mines, which is why I only drew that map.

It will take about an hour of exploration to get to that section of the map, and an hour back, giving you guys a total of 8 hours of exploration and combat. (Yes, Act 2 lasts at maximum of 8 game hours)

We should be able to complete the Act in one session, as it's a fairly straightforward dungeon crawl. It should be intense, but exciting.

Your hp should be at 14. (8 + 4.5 round down + Con Mod (1) x2 = 14)

Your skill looks fine.

Your spells per day improves to 4 and 2.

Your Base Attack Bonus is now +1. (improved from 0)

Your base saves are now Fort +3, Ref +0, and Will +3. (not 2, 0, 2)

You also now get woodland stride special ability.

Dunnstral, we are using fractional base saves and base attack bonus, which means you may only benefit once from the base +2 save.

Therefore, your base fort save should be 3, not 4.

Oh, by the way, I checked the ring when I leveled, and it was a Ring of Protection +1. That's a deflection bonus to AC, the same bonus you get from shields.

Postie should probably get it? Erwin got the mithril chain shirt, so Achan's the melee fighter with the lowest AC right now.

Alternatively they're worth 2000 GP, but that'd be more useful once magic items are available.

Yeah definitely don't sell it.
Achan's a good choice.
IIRC he and Raia are pretty close in AC but Raia's more tanky.

Raia can buy banded mail for 250gp fairly trivially now and get +2 AC that way.
