sitting down with a full squad of friends where someone probably ends up getting run over by a teammate every other game and has no coordination is so good
Test server for a dayish starting tonight with vaulting and changes to ballistics. They give LOTS of warnings that the test servers will be unstable. You're warned.
Ballistics is essentially that they've added bullet drag (air resistance) which will make bullets drop more at the end of their travel distance rather than the steady rate they drop now. I gather the higher the muzzle velocity, the more this effect will be noticed. I think it'll make sniping at very long ranges with ARs untenable. I never really thought sniping at 400+ meters was easy enough to need a nerf but here we are.
Some other changes: neck is now protected by the helmet. Damage to chest is higher, and damage is higher the closer you shoot ot the chest if you hit arms or legs. Also distance reduces damage.
oh! one huge change: 8x and 15x scopes will now allow for changing the zoom level via the mouse wheel! That'll make both far more useful. Depending on how it's implemented I doubt I'll choose a 4x anymore.
Yeah that's pretty big. The reason I occasionally forego an 8x (and frequently ignore a 15x) is because it just automatically zooms in too far for me. This changes makes those pretty much strictly better than the 4x.
I also think that the long range accuracy reduction of ARs will help with a lot of those open field late-game circles. It does put even more of a premium on snipers, though. We'll see how it plays out!
on the plus side it makes the SKS a weapon I'd consider, assuming its bullet drop is less than an ARs. Right now, I'd rather a 4x scope on a m16 than use an SKS
i kind of get hacking. i don't get hacking THIS game. If you hack CSGO you can get ranks and pretend you're mister high and mighty. Here, you basically get nothing.
I don't care about hacking for games like PUBG. It's a difficult enough game that it doesn't matter if I lose to a hacker or bad luck or just another player outplaying me. I'm with Zor in that hacking a game that you play just for the fun of trying to win, does nothing. Maybe they got tired of losing? But now what lol
I mean nobody in our team had more than 3 kills. It was mostly just having good position and letting other squads kill each other off, then we cleaned up 2 or 3 dudes at the end lol.

This is probably my #1 biggest complaint right now. So many games just end with me yelling "I can't see where the shots are coming from!" over and over until I die. Then I'm dead and have no clue where they were, what I did wrong, etc. So there's almost no growth.
Yeah it's a problem sometimes. I'm hoping that vaulting and climbing will sufficiently change up tactics. More likely, though, it just means we'll get killed by dudes on flat rooftops that we can't see. *shrug*
Also forgot to mention, highlight of last night's win was definitely driving the jeep up onto the boxes in the warehouse and shooting out the tires.
variable zoom on the 8x looks like it zooms maybe 4x to 8x? It's still going to be hugely helpful but it looks like it doesn't pass 4x. Also right now it doesn't "save" where you zoomed to the previous time.

I definitely did the least work
Glork and I had a bunch of good duo games yesterday though. I'm definitely noticing some improvement in my aim.
