I have been a huge fan of Stellaris for quite some time, and recently whilst talking with Postie came up with the idea to run a game using Scummer-created space-nations and document the state of our own custom universe here. For those that don't know what Stellaris is: it's a space-themed 4X game where you play as a planetary nation which has just discovered how to utilise faster than light (FTL) technology to travel immense distances rapidly. Your space nation develops as you explore the universe and slowly begin to discover you are not alone... and you are not the first to have populated this hostile expanse. Time progresses and you have to decide which course of action your people wish to take, whilst exploring and unravelling the many wonders and mysteries of the universe. Meanwhile others have their own agenda's and thus a galactic stage is set.

Hey this is cool I hope I don't forget about it in a couple of days

- Planet Dodoksedur, Sun Armok
- Dwarven (humanoid I guess), short, sturdy, long life, creative? (values/proficient at craftsmanship highly, so whatever fits best)
- Megacorporation/Trade League. Lean-Egalitarian, promotes freedom but not absolute equality (gotta earn your place in the world).
Adequent military but generally prefers more "economical solutions". (null/lean-militant)
Likes their fancy things but has spiritual cultures. (~null)
Null on Xenos.

(honorable, making the most/entertaining the absolute limits out of things)
(political abuse of power is heavily frowned upon, while personal manipulation/sabotage is fair game)
(peace = fancy things not being destroyed) and
(prefers long-term advantages over short-term, ie not polluting shit when not needed).

One large corporation moderates the home planet and inner planets, while allowing for indepenent unions to be created where it isn't. Home planet Dwarves enjoy the 9 to 5 life with music, art and craft in the off-times. Dwarves also enjoys the alcohol, bar brawling and Gladiators. Outer expeditions/unions are strictly out for profit (of which is generally shared with the core world/corporation), though the profit is not always monetary, sometimes it's "spiritual".

Same, I'm pretty excited to showcase a game I really enjoy. You get some really wacky space-sagas from this so it will be funny to see how it plays out.

Randomidgit has shown interest in making a civ but is debating whether to do it sober or not, and I've shot those that have posted so far a quick PM asking if they're interested in doing so. In like 4 days or so I'll wrap this up and fill up any remaining slots, possibly with help from Postie if they're up for that!

The Most Serene Escargotligarchy lead by Grand Vizier Gary. Despite the all over the place naming this is a democracy or republic or something along those lines idk the governments.
- The snail duders! They're like one of the only cute ones still left. I wish there were more cute species.
- Can I lean xenophile, materialist and militarist.
- Can I get like a heart or a flower in a nice really powerful violet or pink.

I don't know traits and looking them up seems to give me an incomplete list. Probably sedentary though and you can maybe pick out the rest from my description.

The Most Serene Escargoligarchy (of Snails) is a free society where pursuit of peoples passions in science and art is prized above all else. There is no distinction like we see actually, study of "Aesthetic sciences" of all forms of art/music and design are taken very seriously and appreciation of love and the beautiful are understood just like science and knowledge of the world around us in that they work towards the same end of being tools for us to live more fulfilling and enriched lives. Politically the snails love to see and understand other species, but in seeing their oh so senseless suffering they feel an obligation to spread their own way of thinking to help them out, so in practice they are a bit... interventionist. Even though causing suffering hurts so much because these are some empathetic little duders in the long run it's necessary, like you wouldn't say the civil war should've been avoided because some people died, would you? To free so many people from oppression war is often just and necessary. In case it wasn't obvious these are some head in the clouds really idealistic motherfuckers.

Done. I don't choose how it labels the government by the way, as the game does that based off chosen Traditions and Ethics, and choosing Militarist pretty much always lands you something like "Military Junta or Commissariat".
