So, this is the next RPG I'll be playing.
Note while I am doing this along side Civ, I think I should be able to handle it. Civ is an easy game to me and this is more like an experience

speaking of which
When I was like 10-12 years old, I watched a old playthrough of this game.
So I know who the main villian is but for the most part, and I have VERY vague memories of the actual plot

so, honestly, this is basically a 1st time for me.
And I don't think spoilers affect me that much.
I've played through the Little Busters VN after seeing the anime several times and my first time through the Little Busters VN I still got somewhat emotional
so if this an emotional ride then shit I'm all for it.

So yeah, this is basically a 1st time experience of actually taking this game head on.
I'll probably get started on it soonish but I have everything set up and ready to go.

Also I expect this to have more slower updates.
This is a super big game after all.

Since you’re less acquainted with the game I won’t use their defaults to describe them. I’m deciding to use a theme of anime characters + references.
Brother 1: Alphonse (Full Metal Alchemist)
Brother 2: Edward (Full Metal Alchemist)
Father: Spike (Cowboy Bebop)
Mother: Moon (Sailor Moon)
Dog: Holo (Spice and Wolf)
Food: Souls (Soul Eater)
Thing: Stand (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
Thief: Naruto (Naruto)
Strange girl: Madoka (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
Monkey: Goku (Dragon Ball)
Now these probably aren’t perfect but I think they work, plus I think specifically the food shows up in some dialogue that when you use something weird for the name can be very funny. Also I know this will spoil the fact that some characters come later in the game but since you saw a playthrough before and it’s not massive spoilers I don’t think it’s an issue

I really like Earthbound after boring a friends SNES to play it.

But I thought Mother 3 was never released in the US? So I don't know how you play it.
