I honestly think it’s better not too. We can argue but not obvious distance. Noraa mainly lost Death Curse because her entire team hardbussed her. I think she probably would have won otherwise.

The best way to distance imo is to treat your buddies like they’re not actually your buddies. This way, when one scum flips, it’s antispew.

Well glad that helped. When I first started playing mafia and never rolled scum until I played at least 25+ games, one scumteam actually traded roles with one voting me D1 and the other voting elsewhere and reversing it on D2.

There’s an article Raybells wrote about bussing well and I think the game he cited that I was in is a very good example of distancing as a team
There was special circumstances via me replacing out and back in midway through, which allowed me to persist in pushing my buddy but also having leeway to eventually dial back

Distancing works best that way if one scum takes the fall early. That’s exactly what happened in Gameshow. He did a coordinated bus of his teammate who effectively distanced him but that sort of thing massively fails like it did in that game with NK15 and Peta and to some extent in Xenoblade. He bussed that buddy D1 but not the rest of his team, so no associatives.
