just to clarify, do you mean the standard version in the beginning of the wiki page for the desperado role, no modifications? single shot, dies to third parties, no other effects?

the alternative scenario — where you attempt to die as a result of missing your shot — and instead as a result grow so powerful that you can no longer die — is a perfectly balanced role. putting it in my next setup, 10/10 no notes

"you may activate this invention during the day. when this invention is activated, the next night phase in the game is skipped. that night phase is replaced with a special phase in which each faction that opposes the town may perform one non-killing action of their choice described on any page of the MafiaScum wiki. this invention expires at the end of the day after you receive it."

do you have any problems with this being the exact text of the invention?

"you have a 1-shot hammer ability that can be used only during day 2. you may activate this ability by voting for a player. the post in which you make this vote must also include an image of the Pokémon Miltank, and it must contain the phrase 'Hammer Time!' when you activate this ability, the vote threshold for the player who you voted for in your post will be reduced to the current number of votes on that player (including your own). this will result in the day immediately ending and that player being eliminated."

you aren't able to night kill the other faction, and they can't night kill you. in the event that the game becomes impossible to end via elimination, the game would be a draw.

for a variety of reasons, I would advise not trying to create a scenario where it becomes impossible for the town to win.
