Feel free to dump any flavour you have etc in here. The game probably won't start for another little while, so I'm thinking you have a little time to work on your daystart post if you would like to.
Though based on my personal experience I'd advise you to try to keep it short and sweet, this game will last quite a while so writing flavour will be a marathon not a sprint

Oh great I was clearly not in the right state of mind when I said that the Role PM tenses seemed inconsistent, this seems fine. Great!
Also in general thank you so much for dragging me into this madness, and for being so reliable throughout and doing all this work. I'm looking forward to the game starting, too.

I just realised that the some of the Role PMs mention the Captain, which is information the reviewers didn't approve. I think it needs to be taken out
I should really have realised this earlier I'm sorry
To answer your original question, none of the Cook PM should be redacted on flip except mentions of words like Captain which ideally shouldn't be there at all

I am about to rand the game but can probably help with subtly tweaking the PMs to avoid saying "Captain" once I'm done with that. But yeah I do not want T-Bone to make me walk the plank and I think it is imperative that the word "Captain" is not in any role PMs that are not the Captain role pm

I lean towards Isis's position. I think that you have to be careful to apply it in the right contexts, but it's completely plausible that for someone out there it is a useful tool that improves read accuracy.
I also like the way Frog approaches the game psychologically.
I completely agree that general scumtells exist (lurking, lol). The reverse claim, that scum players on MS perfectly reproduce the distribution of town behaviour on MS, is a very strong claim when you think about it.

Also, I think the Black Spot should have a mutineer assigned to it to carry out the action, at least that's what it's always been like in my head. This way the Lookout can potentially pick up the action if they are watching the right person. (IMO it's a good thing to require in closed setups even if it doesn't matter, to avoid giving scum the information that it doesn't matter.)
Oh right and the mutineers have multitasking, which would be redundant if the Black Spot was performed through some sort of mystic witchcraft rather than one of the mutineers delivering it themselves.

I think it's one of those things that varies by mod, I think I've seen it done before? I was unsure what to do about it, but thought I'd appreciate the extension if I were replacing into a PR slot, and that ended up being the deciding factor. Sorry you were saddened though, I agree Nights can be a bit boring : (

Also what do you want to do if people decide to hammer test the person who is black spotted? My current best guess is post a VC as a tacit acknowledgement that the slot has enough votes that they would otherwise be eliminated, do nothing else

By does nothing, I meant it kills them, because they would die anyway

The writing is great, though the line about a gunshot wound gives away the mechanical information that it was a role with a gun that did it. Can we delete it?
