I have a slightly negative role, during day 1, I have the "hated" trait, which means it only takes 4 votes to lynch me rather than 5. That only applies to day 1, but keep it in mind if I'm getting votes - don't accidentally lynch me, and don't accidentally give away that you know of my trait (it's not public, though I might share it, not sure yet).

My name is "Citadels being a good game", which Nexus doesn't agree with, hence why he hates me on day 1. I had a twitchy feeling when submitting this upick name, heh.

Do you have any special traits or abilities? One thing in our favour is daytalk.

Both the wincon and our "Oak Lodge v Chestnut Lodge" flavour implies to me it's just town v mafia without third parties.

Well being scum sucks. For anyone reading this postgame and thinking it was hard being uninformed, know that I would have swapped with you anytime. Instead of being able to scan peoples posts and look for insincerity, I have to cover up mine, and in this group I don't know that I'll be able to hide it. It seems like a few people are noticing it already, though it's hard to tell how much suspicion there is in the early game. Shanba seems to be onto something, Primate feels like he thinks my posts are weird (though I expect him to whatever I am tbqh), and maybe CES too. And this is before mykonian even shows up.

bv, you should aim to post some suspicions or something else game related over the next day or so. Despite the slow start, I don't think this is a game we'll win by lurking, I think POE would hit us before we win. I'm not sure what you should post tbh, ideally I'd rather you don't start attacking me just now, but go with whatever you find easiest.

Prozac's vote on Ampersand is good to see. I'd recommend against immediately piling into them, though. I really want to see something meatier from them before deciding what direction I go.

Hey bv. How genuine was your comment about CES seeming a lot like his scum games? I mean, obviously its not properly genuine since you don't think he's scum here, but is it something you might genuinely think as town, or did you make it up completely? If you think there's something legit there, you might have a decent chance at looking town if you word your response well.

Fair enough. I think it'll make it look less as though you're dogpiling if you at least have some decent metagame reasons of your own, rather than just attacking weird things like the claim request and the calling myko scum, which as CES rightly points out are not scummy.

bv, sorry to be nagging, but I really think you need to post. Right now we're in a decent spot with suspicion coming off me and you being mostly ignored, but depending on how the Ampersand thing plays out, I could easily see a bandwagon on you springing up quickly. I don't want either of us to be lynched today, but if I don't end up on Ampersand, I'll likely be targeting one of you or Prozac, and based on whats in the thread right now, it'll be difficult for me to justify voting Prozac over you.

Run up to the deadline is going to be tough - because there is little to go on, I still feel like the lynch could go in several different directions. My hated trait is potentially very inconvenient here.

I'd suggest thinking a bit about possible fakeclaims on the chance it swings over to you, I'll be trying to think of a couple myself (with the most obvious just being a mostly truthful hated townie claim). Maybe if you need to claim a powerole, your role name VOAT could work - kind of like a JOAT or COAT but with a different first word, lol. Anyway, that's more something to keep in the back of our minds. It may or may not be needed today.

bv, will you be reasonably around tomorrow as the deadline approaches? As things stand the Ampersand wagon is probably the best hope of getting someone other than me lynched, though I suppose there could still be a flash wagon on someone else. If you're voting Ampersand, doing it tonight probably isn't a great idea - it will make people antsy, but getting it in tomorrow afternoon might work.

I'll be pretty around. I really hope nobody apart from myko/Ampersand will buy into the wagon on me, because with only 4 votes needed that'll probably be enough to get rid of me. I do genuinely think everything myko has said about me is bullshit - but he probably has a strong gut feeling underneath it and just isn't presenting himself very well. I think if I get lynched today we probably lose because Ampersand and myko will become obvtown, and I think POE would hit you long before you could get 2 mislynches. That's how I see the game atm.

I don't know what myko has on Ampersand or whether there is even anything at all. But this is looking tricky. We need some townies to get it wrong, basically. lol.

It looks like you have to be lynched, sadly. I think you can either:

Avoid posting, likely get lynched, but leave no clues behind OR
Make a post and vote me out of self preservation. I still believe if I'm lynched there's probably too much obvtown in the game for you to win.

I think the worst play to make would be posting while voting somebody else, because then if you get lynched, it makes me look like your buddy.

Farewell bv. Now I'm alone here, ranting only to myself and Nexus.

Day 1 was so awkward. Myko/amper sticking to me, combined with my hated trait gave me little room to manoeuvre, and it was unfortunate that my buddy was the most obvious in line to be compromise lynch. If there'd been an obvious weak townie available to lynch I could have easily hopped on board, but I felt it would be difficult to achieve or justify lynching Primate over bv.

Maybe the last minute posts have managed to create a little bit of confusion, and possibly make some people look scummy for protecting bv. Now I think I have an unappealing choice:

1) Kill Ampersand, who I'm certain would continue attacking me tomorrow if left alive. The problem is, this nightkill probably makes me look bad, I mean, why on earth would someone like Primate be sending in that kill? I think most interpretations would come back to me.

2) Kill Shanba, who's probably the most obviously town player following the bv lynch. Tomorrow, I likely have myko/Amper on me again, which is a lot of weight with only 6 players alive. Here I probably try and cast suspicion on Ampersand and hope I can get all of CDB/Primate/Prozac to agree with me, which could work, but I expect Ampersand to be tough to lynch. Never underestimate Fenchurch's ability to be obviously town, heh. Myko also looks bad from the bv-flip, but again, looks very townish.

3) Kill myko. Shuts him up, but again, looks very bad for me, I think. Myko would be more of an "oddball" nightkill than Ampersand, prompting people to look into why it happened.

4) Kill anyone else. Doesn't seem beneficial, since they all have town reads on me to varying degrees. And I need as many friends as I can get.

Probably choosing between options 1 and 2 at the moment. Both choices feel like a mistake, which is how I usually feel as scum when things are going badly.

I think that with minimal or zero powerole interference, there's a slight chance I could win this game. Any kind of real powerole interference will probably be too much, and there's a number of possible roles like tracker, roleblocker, jailkeeper that can be gamebreaking with only 1 scum left.

Looking over I have no real idea who the poweroles are, so I'm just going to kill the guy who's pretty obviously not scum with bv, and see what happens. Official semi random guess at his upick is Post Meet Blues, based on his first two over the top posts.

I must be being pretty slow to pick something up, heh. Ampersand really bland "no lynch for role reasons" is hard to get a read on. Its so bland I almost feel like they're trying to bait a nightkill. PGO??

nexus has confirmed that alignments were randomised after abilities were dished out, which means either:

1) Really luck based setup, based on whether scum or town get the decent poweroles. In this case, bv and I drew a really short straw. This seems like a bizarre way to design a setup.

2) Not much power in general, meaning that it doesn't matter too much whether scum or town get the roles. Known roles so far: voater, hated day 1, town sad. I think I should win the game just for guessing Shanbas upick correctly.

Better get out there and pretend to be town. For you guys reading this after, this is what being scum does to my sanity =/

Amazing how just a couple of days can dull your grip on a game. I'm having a hard time working out what roles might be in the setup considering alignments and abilities were randomised separately - most poweroles don't help the town when in mafia hands. Maybe an innocent child that is fixed to never be scum? Maybe a post-death public cop like we had in the Invitational a year ago, that would be a nice way to screw scum over. I feel like I won't win the day game with Ampersand around, so I'm going to nightkill them even though they kinda look like they're trying to pull a nightkill. No tears from me if it loses the game.
