The thing is, as a mod you do NOT need to reply to people immediately, or generally at all. You can also use pm to respond to people’s issues individually. When I mid. I shit post a bit in people’s scum topics but substantive issues and questions from all players are often ignored, or just dealt with when I want to deal with them.

Unless you HAVE TO answer something immediately, you can always wait.

I’d also note that people bitching about mod decisions is part of the game. It’s ok if people think you fucjed up; unless it breaks the game, you can talk about it in dead thread and/or postgame.

Did you actually TELL her that it didn’t disable in LYLO? Because that’s a mod error, since that feature never got through design review.

As far as the rest goes, you may well just need to announce yiur mod error and let it go with no tape, I’ll try to think on it. Did she have anything before dead thread?

I didn't specifically said that her loved status would disable/able in lylo. She never asked me and I never clarified afaik.

Then that's fine. Because disabled loved/hated in LYLO/MYLO is the site norm. If she assumed it wasn't the case that's on her IMO.

Once any night, you may choose to target a player to protect them from being nightkilled.
Once any night, you may choose to target a player to guard them. You will die instead of the targeted player if they were killed.
Once any night, you may are immune from being targeted except nightkills.

He can use ONE of those abilities per night. Not multiple.

But I'd say a JOAT power standard issue is that they can use precisely one power per night. Anything non-standard generally needs ot be disclosed and discussed. I do think it's worth having zaph weigh in, but that's my $0.02 as one of the reviewers who approved the role.

Smith is correct here, the wording inplies one action each night.


Also, if you doubt anything that will affect the game if it continues, you are 100% in your right to halt the game and saying as little as 'an error occured, please stand by' or something. Any info you give can and will affect the game, and mostly not telling your players anything with impact is the best option. (Don't pause the game for a week without saying a thing, of course, but you shouldn't tell them exactly why it is paused.)

To add on that, both of us looked at balance and interactions with that role being a normal joat, like smith said. I think you also designed it that way?
If so, there is no reason to change that design because a user finds a loophole in your wording (and trust me, this isn't the first time it happens, and it will most certainly not be the last time.)
