you don't not earn a win because you capitalized on town doing dumb things. elsa has also had some objectively good scum games this year, including one where they previously had a townie fakeclaim masons with them.

they lost that game because one of their teammates made an awful decision.

i don't think elsa is literally a god of scumplay (heh) but they're pretty good. it's unfortunate that they're not at all good at town, but hey.

i think if someone claimed masons with me and i got to walk to endgame as a result i'd probably not put much effort into it and that would reflect very little on my prowess as scum

i think that FL is a great scum player but that there's also a huge gap between him and the people above him in terms of how to play the game beyond just looking townie.

To be fair this pretty much played out as you'd expect if a bunch of Dragon Ball Z characters tried to fight a bunch of pokemon and shojo characters

Why do you have so many roles that gain 1000 power a night only to unlock their second ability really fast in a large game

So the serial killer has a wincon and so that not everyone can just hide behind a night 1 action on day 1. I think day 1 is the hardest and the setup was kinda supposed to give scum a little bit of time to gain some power. The traitor recruitment kinda messed up their tempo and so Alch has basically just been a goon even though he was supposed to be a really strong role, just didn't work out that way due in large part to Pink Ball's roleblock.
