It is fine to read active games. If you want to spectate officially (join the deadthread even though you aren't dead, like zestoflife did here), you can PM the mod and ask.

The only thing with active games is you have to be careful not to talk about them, for example "Plotinus is making better posts in their other game than here" would be against the rules.

If scum manage to kill a PR they'll be in a good position but otherwise there will be 5 players alive, 2 scum, 2 PRs and 1 person they can try to lynch, which is a difficult situation to be in -- probably the better thing to do is to claim PR and hope to lynch the real PR.

The investigative PR is not getting an interesting result tonight and the scum is killing a VT right now.

town tracker. Night 1, he tracked cyrus62 to nowhere, so i'm not sure why he went after him so hard day 2. It's true that if cyrus62 were scum then his buddy could have done the kill but tracking someone to nowhere does reduce the chances, especially since 2/3rds of the time both scum can have a night action.

Night 2, he tracked Osetr to nowhere. He made it pretty clear in his last post who he was going to track.

This game somewhat reminds me about Newbie 1924 regarding how scum struggled to nightkill Town PRs.

Yeah, it's pretty clear that in 2d3, the scum are basically hosed if they don't manage to nightkill PRs or lynch them via fakeclaiming. I think scum have played phenomenally well this game...and still their chances of winning are fairly small, even though none of the PRs have any useful results. There is a thread for discussing proposed changes to the newbie setup and a thread with stats on the newbie setup where a lot of discussion has taken place about the problem.

If a player who normally receives a result is blocked, they get the words "no result" back. "Went nowhere" means that the person didn't use any night actions.

Well, it's possible for scum to go nowhere, if their partner does the kill instead, but it's more likely that somebody who goes nowhere is a vanilla townie.
