Here's all the currently non-public information about the setup itself (as opposed to the role assignment). This will get copied-and-pasted into the game thread on the appropriate days.
Day 1- 1-shot Gladiator(Day): Once in the game, during the Day when no proposal is being voted on, you may challenge a player via bold post in the game thread ("Challenge:"). All proposals that day are invalid unless they give the Compulsive Quitter role either to you, or to the player you challenged.player
- Inactive(Passive): For the rest of the game, proposals that give you aDayorNightaction are invalid.
- Day 5 Innocent Child(Passive): If you are Town-aligned, your alignment will be publicly revealed at the start of Day 5.
- (Night): Once each on four Nights in the game, you may grant a new night action to a player in the game (other than yourself). Each of these actions may be given once:
Spoiler: Inventions - Day 3 King(Passive): On Day 3, no other player will be able to propose; as the last remaining player with a proposal, your proposal will therefore be accepted automatically, without voting.
- (Passive):Protectiveroles will fail when used on you.
- (Passive): All other roles will interact with you as though you were Scum, regardless of your actual alignment.
- (Night): Once on each odd-numbered night, you may choose a player, and will learn whether or not there was motion involving that player that night. A player has motion involving them if they use aNightaction, or if aNightaction is used on them, or both.
- (Passive): You will gain access to read and post in the Neighbour private topic, and may use it to discuss the game with the other players there.
- (Passive): You will gain access to read and post in the Neighbour private topic, and may use it to discuss the game with the other players there.
- Timid(Passive): You cannot make proposals.
- Night 1 Universal Backup(Passive): At the end of Night 1, you will automatically gain the role of the player who was eliminated Night 1.
- Vanilla(Passive): This role doesn't do anything.
- (Twilight): You immediately leave the game and are eliminated.
- Night 2 Bulletproof(Passive,Protective): You are not a valid target for the Mafia's Night 2 elimination (unless you are also Macho).
- (Day): Once each Day, you may via PM to the moderator choose a player and a targetedNightaction (other than aFactionalaction), along with a suggestion for that action's target. During the following Night, if the chosen player has access to the chosen action, they will be told what the suggested target is, and have the choice of using the action on the suggested target or of not using the action at all – they cannot choose to use it on anyone else.
- Chronomage(Night,Protective): Once each Night, you may choose a player to "time-delay": if that player is eliminated that Night, they will be able to continue posting until the end of the following Day (but not to receive roles from proposals that Day); if that player would receive information from the moderator that Night, that information is delayed until the end of the following Day.
- (Passive): When voting on proposals, your vote is counted twice. (This may increase the number of votes required for a proposal to pass.)
- (Passive): You will gain access to read and post in the Neighbour private topic, and may use it to discuss the game with the other players there.
- Day 3 Post Restricted(Passive): On Day 3 only, you may not post if you've already posted 4 times in the previous 24 hours, and may not make posts more than 50 words long. The first violation of this restriction will lead to a warning (and editing of the offending post); further violations will lead to loss of your proposal (if you still have it) or vote (if you don't).
- (Night): Once each Night, you may investigate a player for unused elimination abilities: at the end of the Night, you will learn whether or not that player has an unused ability to Eliminate someone. (Players who cannot Eliminate someone, and players who can but already have, will give the same result.)
- Revisor(Day): Once each day, when a proposal has been open for voting for 3 or more hours, you may by bold-post in the thread modify that proposal by swapping two roles on it. Doing so will reset the vote count, but not refund the author's ability to propose.
- Night 3 Compulsive Role Caller(Night): On Night 3, you will be shown a list of all roles available for proposals on Day 4. Youmustchoose one of them; this choice will be publicly announced at the start of Day 4, and all proposals must give it to you.
- (Night): Once on each even-numbered Night, you may choose a player to track; at the end of the Night, you will learn who (if anyone) that player targeted with aNightaction.
- (Passive): You count as eliminated for most purposes, but may still post in the game thread and any private threads you have access to.
- (Twilight): You immediately leave the game and are eliminated.
- (Passive): AllNightactions, except for actions which would eliminate you, fail when used on you.
- Deadline Setter(Day): Twice each Day, by bold post in thread, you may set the deadline to 96 hours from the current time. If this ability has been used twice in a Day, the deadline cannot be extended for the rest of the Day.
- Deflector(Night): Once each Night, you may choose two players; this ability targets the second player butdoes not targetthe first. AnyNightaction used on the first chosen player will be retargeted onto the second chosen player. You may not choose a Macho player as the first of your choices.
- (Passive): You will gain access to read and post in the Neighbour private topic, and may use it to discuss the game with the other players there.
- (Night): Once each Night, you may investigate a player, and will be told a word in response. Players belonging to different factions will produce different results, and players belonging to the same faction will produce the same result, but you won't initially know which word corresponds to which faction.
- Strong-Willed Strongman(Passive): YourNightactions cannot be deflected, redirected, blocked, or protected against by any means.
- (Passive): If you are eliminated during the Day, you may vanillaise someone the following Night, removing all non-factional roles from them and blocking their non-factional actions that Night.
- (Night): Once each Night, youmustchoose a player. This night action targets the player, but has no other effect.
- (Twilight): You immediately leave the game and are eliminated.
- (Passive): You cannot vote on proposals, except to cast the deciding vote on them. You cannot make proposals, except when you are one of the last two players with proposals remaining that Day.
- (Passive): You will gain access to read and post in the Neighbour private topic, and may use it to discuss the game with the other players there.
- (Night): Each Night, you may choose a player; other roles will interact with that player as though they belonged to the opposite faction (e.g. a Town player would appear Scum on investigations, and vice versa). This action is not visible to other roles, e.g. a Tracker will not be able to see you use it; also, a Captain will not be able to direct it.
- Private Topic Switch(Night): Each Night, you may decide whether or not private topics will be open during the following Day and subsequent Night. If you leave them open, daytalk and night-talk will be available as usual. If you disable them, neither the Neighbours nor the Scum will be able to communicate via Private Topic until you reopen them (which you cannot do until the end of the following Night) or are eliminated; players with access can view them, but not post in them. When you are eliminated, all the topics will open again.
- (Night): Each Night, you may investigate a player for communication ability: a player who shares a Private Topic with another non-eliminated player, or who has an unused Mailman ability, has communication ability.
- Night 4 Backfiring Vote Nullifier(Night): On Night 4 only, you may optionally choose a player to lose their vote for Day 5. If you use this ability, you will lose your own vote on Day 5.
- (Twilight): You immediately leave the game and are eliminated.
- (Night): Once each Night, you may investigate a player; you will learn what faction that player belongs to.
- Excited(Passive): You must vote on each proposal within 48 hours, or else lose your vote on that proposal altogether. You may not unvote, but may change your vote.
- (Passive): You will gain access to read and post in the Neighbour private topic, and may use it to discuss the game with the other players there.
- (Night): Once each Night, you may strengthen a player; that player'sNightactions that Night cannot be deflected, redirected, blocked, or protected against by any means.
- (Twilight): You immediately leave the game and are eliminated.
- Vanilla(Passive): This role doesn't do anything.
- redacted

List of all players and hydra heads, in playerlist order, for sending out mass PMs without leaking information (it's important that the order of this list does not depend on who is scum):
Code: Select all
Hidden Happiness popsofctown Bingle apthet Dunnstral momo AP Gamma Emerald Lil Uzi Vert pisskop Shadoweh MariaR
I'll edit this post to keep it updated with living players/heads. (EDIT during one of the updates: momo is eliminated but can post, so is included.)Last edited by callforjudgement on Sun Aug 04, 2019 2:48 pm, edited 4 times in total.scum· scam · seam · team · term · tern · torn ·town- callforjudgement

I think it would count as mod intervention to answer #1007 now, but for when people see this postgame: experience shows that you have to put the game mechanics in the role PM or people won't actually read them. It says in post #2 that all townies are identical and all scum are identical and gives the exact role PMs, but apparently people didn't read that. The same information was in the signup thread!
Do I have to go as far as saying "all townies have the same role as each other, all scum have the same role as each other" in theRole PMs?scum· scam · seam · team · term · tern · torn ·town- callforjudgement

Action resolution:
Can never have a night or morning effect(6): Gladiator, Inactive, Neighbour, Neighbour, Vanilla, Compulsive Quitter
Have no effect tonight / this morning(2): Day 3 King, Day 5 Innocent Child
Resolve this morning(1):
Timid: Hidden Happiness lose their proposal
Resolve tonight (in this order)(5+2):
Macho: Lil Uzi Vert is macho; protectives aimed at him will fail
Miller: Creature is a miller; he looks like scum to night actions
Rolestop: Nero Cain rolestops momo: success, actions targeting momo will fail
Inventor: apthet gives Friendly Neighbour to CheekyTeeky: success, CheekyTeeky gains a Friendly Neighbour invention and is informed of this
Eliminate: Nero Cain eliminates Vecna: success, Vecna dies
Night 1 Universal Backup: pisskop takes dead players' roles: success, pisskop takes Vecna's role and becomes a Neighbour, gaining access to the Neighbour PT and is told of this
Odd-Night Motion Detector: Gamma Emerald motion-detects popsofctown; success, Gamma Emerald is told "You detected a lack of motion last night; no other actions were used by or on your target."
Total roles listed: 14 personal + 2 factional
(Note to the backup mod: there will be redirects involved eventually, so investigatives use "your target" wording.)scum· scam · seam · team · term · tern · torn ·town- callforjudgement

Post #2607 was redacted due to a rules violation; I deleted the last paragraph for violating rule C5 and site rule 2. (It was an avatar bet contingent on momo's own alignment, and it's not fair on the other players to force them to gauge whether something like that is honest or not.) I also sent momo a warning by PM, but am not planning to take any future action.scum· scam · seam · team · term · tern · torn ·town- callforjudgement

Scum have almost won this one.
I believe it's theoretically possible for town to win this: apthet needs to give Hero to CheekyTeeky, who then uses it and gladiates Bingle to force through a lynch on him (I'd rule that scum anonymous forcethrough proposals have the same rules as actual proposals). I don't think this is likely to happen, but it's a theoretical possibility.
Ideally, I could do with verification that any other scenario is a forced scum win; if so, I can call the game at the end of Night 2. (Both town and scum can theoretically win on Day 2 in this setup, which is a little extreme but when scum have this much domination of the gamestate, there's next to no chance that they'd lose anyway.)scum· scam · seam · team · term · tern · torn ·town- callforjudgement
