Right. Tictac was saying I was “checking the thread” when I really wasn’t. I was checking the website because my other game’s deadline had passed and I wanted to see if the Day had started yet. I couldn’t say that because that would expose that I knew I was alive / was mafia. It just became so frustrating not being able to defend myself without breaking rules. I understand why the rules are in place - I just wish Tictac didn’t put me in that situation.

Yeah, makes sense. And even if you were town in that game, you might've been checking whether you were killed or if you were being brought into LYLO, but either way you wouldn't have been able to answer the question.

Most people are in multiple games and sometimes you only have time to pay attention to the one that needs you the most, or you have time to read but not write. People sometimes imagine that if you were town you would say something every time you log in to the site but for most people that's not how it works, and I think it is better for the game if people reach a happy medium of activity: participating enough that you can form reads and other people can read you, but also not spamming the thread.

It's not scummy to login without posting, literally everybody does it.

I was banking on the ever-changing scumread from a lot of people allowing me to look like the “for sure” town member. It was risky but I felt like that was my best bet
