The Curse of Rata Mall - Cinemas

A once thriving place once depicting a good mix of family friendly, and not so family friendly content

Image
The current layout of the Cinemas

Present

Porochaz
is Xavier Lynch: Male, Early 20s Short, bookish, well groomed, Red Puffer Jacket, skinny. Carrying a Baseball Bat and a petrol cannister. Wet Shoes

As you'd expect in here, there are popcorn machines, candy, colas, a lot of seats but no movies currently screening - the rooms are lit up. The popcorn is all over the floor, as is the candy.

There is a wheelchair sitting out near the toilets.
The emergency exit to the north seems to be a staircase covered in rubble, much like the stairs to the eatery.

Right, let's explore. (I should have just said investigate everything!)

Take Out CCTV with bat
- Let's start with that, no need for them to discover where I am.

So there are 2 exits plus the elevator/stairs
investigate the exit I didn't come from

So there is a secret brewery around here? I kinda want to invetigate the seats. 160 in all, why would you label them? I may have to investigate all of them but that will take time. Maybe later if I have nothing else to do.

Investigate screens, if they are the old style screens use knife to cut behind them

Investigate ticket and coke machines

Investigate cupboards

Why are the lights on the map

Investigate Lights

Look in cupboard and Counter including popcorn and candy machines

I just forgot to completely charge my taser.

charge taser

Investigate the loo's, look down sink plugholes, urinals and toilets including the cisterns

Have I possibly gone over everything? Sorry if thats a bit against the spirit of the game. I actually didn't expect to come to the cinema at all. But didn't particularly want to stay in the lab twiddling my thumbs and it's quite exciting, I want to know about potential tainted absinthe and Terry's potential storyline.

Oh
investigate elevator and stairwell but only if it is safe to do so

Where are the films being screened from?
Mostly retired. Unless you ask or it's something interesting.

CRUNCH

So there are 2 exits plus the elevator/stairs investigate the exit I didn't come from
The other exit looks down on a crashed UFO, but there is a collapsed emergency stairwell. No way down

So there is a secret brewery around here? I kinda want to invetigate the seats. 160 in all, why would you label them? I may have to investigate all of them but that will take time. Maybe later if I have nothing else to do.
If theres time, you can lift every chair one by one, but it will take ages

Investigate screens, if they are the old style screens use knife to cut behind them
You cut them open, to reveal wall

Investigate ticket and coke machines
They look like theyve been crowbarred open

Investigate cupboards
THey are empty

Why are the lights on the map
They make the cinema dark

Investigate Lights
They are ON

Look in cupboard and Counter including popcorn and candy machines
There is popcorn and candy all over the floor. The candy is multicoloured, but someone seems to have taken the white ones

I just forgot to completely charge my taser.

charge taser
Charging away

Investigate the loo's, look down sink plugholes, urinals and toilets including the cisterns
Nothing to find

Have I possibly gone over everything? Sorry if thats a bit against the spirit of the game. I actually didn't expect to come to the cinema at all. LOL, maybe? Maybe not

Oh investigate elevator and stairwell but only if it is safe to do so
The elevator is not on this floor, but callable if you wish to go to the Office

What seat do want to start looking at, if at all? D1, L1, S10, K10? In the middle somewhere.

We'll go methodically, start at D1 then continue on by row.

After an hour searching, you find what appears to to be a remote detonator, and a tunnel in seat K9

A remote detonator? For the bomb in the lab, no doubt. Will press it at some point just in case.

However lets get down the dog hole, (cause K9... canine... you probably thought of that joke when you made it...) and see what we find.

Look behind heater

You can see three people wandering around out there, but its night time, so its hard to see who they are. One seems to be a woman, one might possibly be carrying a briefcase, and another with a cane?[/b[

look through wine rack
Theres wines on here. Some bottles are missing

look through barrels and vats
Vats are sealed. The main barrel has a hole in it letting you see a foul batch of alchohol. It also has a tap

Look behind heater
It seems to be gas powered, and no gas. It's a fixed-to-the-wall unit

look around alchemy desk
There are beakers, alembics, titration devices. Terry would have loved these

rifle through filing cabinet
Recipes for wines, Terry would have loved these

lastly turn off/on light switch I don't know what I'm expecting... something written on the walls or something?
THe room goes dark

Is there any way to see what's in the vats?

Look at some of the wine, is it labelled?

The wines are a variety of brands and types, reds and whites. The vats are unlabelled, but the barrel seems to smell of hops.
