so several exciting things here. since youre dead i will in fact confirm that this is not the real game, & so now that it is known that we will be playing this more than once, i can start talking about the concept of a game being ran multiple times and the ramifications of such a game.

This affords us an exciting opportunity that popped into my head when kanna joined -- namely, the setup can potentially be workshopped by her with input from us in between games. For example dkkoba, i kno u suggested that mafia be made aware of who gives the child their love, and kanna also said at the onset there was an aspect she was dissatisfied with. this was in fact a motivating factor for running this in the first place (i asked isis if there were any open micros that would benefit from having a test run.) Beyond that i was also considering taking in further input, such as whether deadlines could stand to be shorter or longer, especially taking into account the potentially reduced stamina for a longer game after one game has already been played.

The second & main factor for running this is that i wanted to see how players would react to a game that may or may not actually "count." The first thought that i had was that people might just end up taking it seriously as if it did count. but i was hoping to encourage some more friendly, impulsive, and casual style of play & see how that developed. I think that running a game to this end looks to be a success: it definitely gave me joy to see pooky being like "oh why haven't we speed ran this game yet it probably doesn't even count"

lastly, one thing i've been turning around in my head is introducing a rule in my ruleset that's something like "angleshooting based on mod actions is discouraged" or something like that. this was inspired by a post u (dkkoba) made that was like kanna modconfirmed town for having the badge. i obviously read this as a joke as that predated the role PMs but it did get me thinking about what effect such a line of argument has on the game when advanced seriously & potential to stretch the integrity of a game to a breaking point. I think I've definitely suffered through people making conclusions like this when I've modded other games & it's just been like, so bad on the part of everyone involved. That being said I don't want to like fully exclude arguments such as this as a line of strategy entirely-- i just as a mod don't want to have to be thinking about the consequences of any flavor or whimsy i put in my games being interpreted as "modspew", have to manage my mod meta for doing so, and in the process introduce another layer of wifom into it all. idk, thoughts on this?

one thing i'm also thinking during the pitstop is to just simply extend an offer to take the chance to replace out if they want to, when it's easiest [this would be similar to me being a dad on a road trip getting gas and being like "pee if you need to bc we won't be stopping for a few hours after this"]
