try not to look too suspicious.
try and find out who the town power roles are.
It's semi-open setup, so town has either:
1. Mason and Mason
2. Cop and Doctor
3. Tracker and Jailkeeper
For masons, look for associations - people who trust each other without saying, or don't challenge/vote each other. In general, look out for breadcrumbs which is where people drop hints of their role. and obviously, if we can get enough votes on someone to force a claim, that gives us more info too.
Mafia are normally underdogs if they cant find the power roles and favourites if they can.
basic night-kill strategy should normally be:
Kill someone we think is a power role.
If we don't have any idea who might be a power role, kill someone who suspects us.
If nobody suspects us, kill someone we might find it hard to eliminate during the day.
if you get forced to claim on Day 1, generally default to claiming a protective role - doctor or jailkeeper here. That way, either nobody counters and you are safe from elimination, or more likely you reveal who a power role is who we can then kill.
Thanks I appreciate it! What did you think of the post I made tonight? For the most part I wrote it as I probably would as town.
Also, what do you think our relationship should be like and how should we talk in-game?
Why would you go VLA after not posting long enough to get prodded? If you're still here please give me some idea of what I should do about it. It seems like a mafia type of thing to do.
I've had a couple ideas for power roles. Either LavarManos as a doctor (because he said Ben will not die tonight), or Ben/LavarManos as masons (the two slots have been very friendly towards each other). What do you think?

Short answer is: don't overthink it.
Longer answer is: Try and be balanced and talk to me but not at the expense of others. Newbie scum sometimes go to either extreme - talking to their partner too much so it's obvious, or completely ignoring their partner exists.

cause I had too many games and couldn't keep up with them all lol - i did the same across several games regardless of alignment.

Hmm, I'm going to read through everything properly now, with this in mind.

yes I had the same thought!

Elim rock today, leaves a pool of: Lavar, Lunar and Ben for possible Cop.
I don't feel Ben from that trio, although he's a good NK choice I think. You thought it could be Lavar right? Worth checking to see if his crumb is consistent with a Cop.
I think it's a good idea. I'm thinking Ben is a VT. I thought Lavar might be a doctor, I don't know of any cop crumbs right now. Lunar would be my guess, but could still be lavar.
I also think keeping clidd alive is a good idea because it could create the idea that there are 2 goons and a cop.
I hammer Rock
We roleblock Ben
Kill Lunar (only a small risk he gets protected)
Assuming no cop out, I claim Cop first thing tomorrow with a guilty on Lavar (on the expectation he is most likely to counter-claim me and it won't get him much cred) to get us another mis-elim.
It should be a good way to get you into a final 3 player Ex-Lo with no power roles to worry about.
the cop claim excuses me hammering because i'd know rock would have to be vanilla. Of course, if he flips cop, that's a bummer, but hey!
