Stand by that assessment btw.In post 2077, Alisae wrote:
mastina though "hur dur scum was too weak" so I made Jesse + Bullseye global factionally and buffed your role significantly. Then she said it was alibalanced. In post 2073, Katyusha wrote:So how was Town supposed to win
With this many town killing roles, scum could be absolutely decimated...and the town didn't just have killing roles; they had investigatives a plenty not to mention quite a number of ways to prevent the scum from succeeding in their plans, even ways for scum's plans to BACKFIRE on them. That left both the scum and the serial killer as being underpowered.
I still thought the town was overpowered frankly, but that it was close enough.
Admittedly I didn't know that "I WISH TO WIN THE GAME" was a valid wish, among other things town did which hurt town. (For instance, I thought RadiantCowbells's lynch was a modified govern, where at the END of the day phase, he'd go essentially "lol, that lynch you thought was happening? NOPE, it's this one instead". Alisae's interpretation of it was more as a modified dayvig which INSTANTLY ended the day killing both hydra heads.)
I said it was Alibaelanced and that it was Alisane for good reason--even by my interpretations, there was enough where the game was going to be swingy as fuck no matter what. Which is, par for the course in an Alisae game. Alisae's interpretation of the abilities not being what I thought probably did contribute to the game being a little more crazy than I had signed off on though, admittedly.- mastina

My interpretation as well. When I signed off, I signed off with the note that I still though that while the scum were now closer to being balanced whereas before they were underpowered, that the town was still overpowered relative to the other factions. (In particular, I thought that the serial killer was pretty fucked given they had very little in the way of protection against all of the numerous town abilities and even scum abilities that could fuck them over.)In post 2111, Eddie Cane wrote:i think this was townsided honestly.- mastina

Woulda been better if I coulda actually judged four entries rather than being forced to DQ one because it wasn't available in the godforsaken US of Assholes. In post 2161, jjh927 wrote:Good song choosing btw Mastina- mastina

With longer days.
You'd have had 'em.
You guys just.
Didn't have those longer days.
There were about fourscheduledper day; you got less than half that. And you can't really blame Alisae for that; that's on the player end of things.- mastina

No, but yes.In post 2254, jjh927 wrote:I still have next to no idea what happened in that game because I only read the thread after it was finished but if I was a gambling man I'd guess that Sayori was the day 1 lynch
The D1 lynch was either Natsuki or no majority, I'm not quite certain. So Sayori was not lynched by majority vote. 3/5 players didn't vote her. In fact you didn't even have her ever receive more than one vote if I recall correctly.
...But her role in spite of SAYING she was a Vanilla Townie.
Was a secretly-suicidal-will-always-be-the-D1-lynch-no-matter-what role.
As in.
Her death was literally mod-controlled to always happen regardless of what players did.
Guess who's still bitter about that?- mastina

(Incidentally, I played that game's source material shortly after that game had finished--had I played the source material game BEFORE playing the game, then I'd have done better; I'd have known Natsuki's cupcake-baking claim was legit and that we shoulda lynched limonex. Not that it'd have made any difference given. yaknow. NOTHING I DID ACTUALLY MATTERED since I COULDN'T MAKE ANY POSSIBLE DIFFERENCE ABOUT THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME. But I mean. I suppose that's true to the source material, too, and I'd have been less bitter if I had known in advance about that. )- mastina

No, not actually. In post 2264, Smocaine wrote:You and Ali approved rc's role without any restrictions. It's so simple to fix the issues with his role. Especially if you know the game is balanced around longer day phases.
1: I thought that the gladiate could not be moved. Alisae's interpretation was that it could.
2: I thought that the decide-a-lynch worked as a modified governor: taking effect at the END of the day phase, turning whatever results THE PLAYERS had decided on into the results RADIANTCOWBELLS had decided on. (That role, I approved.) Alisae's interpretation was that it worked as a modified dayvig: taking effect INSTANTLY. (That role, I did not intend to approve.)
3: It's possible I thought that the gladiate was one-shot. If so this was a mistake on my part as the role PM clearly has no such limitation, though I admit it's possible I knew full good and well it was unlimited. (I honestly don't remember.) - mastina
