It's very wolfy to hide activity to avoid being traced back to being the same person.
2 players made their activity hidden.
This was a page 1 gamesolve.

Mark is just openwolfing
If althunting weren't part of the setup the mod would just provide everyone accounts
Its also the most effective way to figure out which two accounts is the same player

Where is this info at?
When you go to someone's profile you can see when they last visited
When thats on their name is on the bottom of the site when they're on to
When it's off its just blank and you don't appear at the bottom

I was going to check everyone for general stuff eventually then I noticed he had activity off so I was curious if anyone else had it off because turning it off felt very wolfy so I checked everyone for just that.

I wasn't sure when it was just Mark or if like a bunch of the others would have had their activity hidden but it was only Mark and Rodin noone else thought about it so it wasn't some natural MS thing I didn't know about.

Mark/Rodin are wolves no matter how you think about it.
They turned activity off to avoid being traced back to the same person.
They turned activity off because it was a habit only they had because of whatever other site they play on and it was so natural they didn't notice.
And then the posts made after I pointed this out were just open wolf.

I think on the a villager would talk about why they turned it off and realize why it looks very wolfy, not attack the person who made it with shitty attacks and pretend their question about ??? was more important and just brush off the activity stuff

It makes the most sense tho.
It's largely lazy reasoning: I agree that they share alignment but I disagree that that alignment is necessarily scum.
There's no rush for us to pursue a lynch on either of the two of them.
What???
How does it lead to both town???
It only leads to both scum

Ok I get it but I think its less likely to work when it's planned like this
The Mark and Rodin player has a lot of time to prepare for it
But I understand the idea.

Because I believe that choosing to conceal yourself is player dependent.
I believe that most of the time players as scum would conceal both accounts or no accounts.
Therefore either two town independently chose to conceal or one scum concealed both accounts
either way it's not something we're in a rush to prove: if they're both scum we'll know they're both scum as soon as one flips.
In post 148, LakeoftheWoods wrote:The reasoning wasn't bad just because the result ended up being wrong.
The logic here is right. The result being wrong does not make the reasoning bad. The reasoning was bad of its own accord, because it relied on several extremely dubious assumptions (which would be dubious even if they turned out to be right).
Also I don't see the Usurper fight as particularly TvT (especially since I trust ssg to not get into a fight like that without a good reason) and I also don't see Usurper's instant talking plan as unlikely to come from scum. (Because remember, scum have to plan out how they are going to interact with themself and so the idea of having a back-and-forth must have crossed their mind.)
The reasoning wasn't bad and the assumptions weren't dubious.
I don't trust ssg to do things without a good reason. I don't think Usurper would fight against ssg the way they did as scum? This is mainly gut though.
I think the plan likely came from town because it gave the opportunity for a scummy town slot to look less scummy and if Usurper were scum they would know this and not want that to happen.

It's unfortunate that this game was so easy to solve. Perhaps we should start again?

I think that this kind of forced affect is also highly scum indicative because scum need to artificially differentiate their posting– why does town feel the need to obscure their identity?
I definitely agree that it would make no sense for town to do this but I think scum would try to be a bit less obvious about it.

@AbsoluteZero you said the more you think...Explain your thought process.
At first when I looked at Lake's point it really didn't seem that's strong and I even considered it being a scum move to create some early sus. 15 also sounded a little overconfident and even a bit defensive. I changed my mind on my reread. The first bit of 13 sounded bad and even a bit desperate and the idea of Lake's point was sounding a bit less of a coincidence.
I'm a little sus of Usurper. The point of the two similar names possibly being scum wasn't necessarily bad but without anything to say except them being similar was. Also the fight with ssg seemed like it has a good chance of being TvS.
Lake is also on my scum radar now too after leading that mislynch.
VOTE: Usurper
Why am I on your scum radar for leading a lynch that you thought made sense.

Mr. Big, I thought it was suppose to be obvious that you were roleplaying something with how you were talking so the masking speech question feels weird to me.
You didn't think that we would think you were talking not normally?

I have everyone as towny except for the same three as before and they've also been acting very scummy.
AbsoluteZero and MrBig are voting for Usurper while Rodin just isn't here.

I really don't see Usurper scum, I see a lot of Usurper is bad.
I think scum are likely just sitting around and waiting for us to get frustrated and for the Usurper lynch to happen
Would you vote AbsoluteZero?
