Scratch that. I am probably going some sort of cleric, it looks fun.

I am undecided between trying to be a melee cleric or just a standard spellcasting cleric.

If I could get some input on how to play either that would be awesome

I couldn't sleep and I was thinking about something

The well in the basement had a secret area in the bottom.
The well in act 1 had a secret area in the bottom.

The FIRST THING THAT WE SAW IN ACT 2 OF NOTE was the well outside the city. We specifically had an NPC lead us there so it would be on our list of areas. We also never figured out who the person stalking around it was. After the Mizra event I'm starting to think that that area is of more importance than just water that temporarily disables magic. Someone came out of that well; at first I thought it was because there was like a magic transporter thing in the wells, but what if they literally came out of the well because they live in the well?

So that leaves us still with

1) Figuring out Mizra's deal and the bottom of the well.
2) Figuring out what happened to the artifact sword, exploring the Mines and hopefully finding a back entrance to the forest that's safe enough to use.
3) Figuring out the relationship between the ravagers and the other faction.
4) Attempting to explore the forest directly. Probably a mistake.

For options 1 and 2 I don't think that daylight matters. Assuming Julian hail maries us I think the best option since we are all pretty much out of stuff is to find a place to sleep and then either figure out a way to plumb the well or go into the mines and figure out what's been going on there.

Oh and we can also have Carmina invisibly scout out the area and see if she can't figure out who the mysterious person lurking around is.

Also, now that we're level 10 I have teleport. Who wants to kill that ancient thing from act 1 with me? (Tomorrow, not today)

Gif, here's my backstory. I incorporated you in but you can change that bit however suits your character. This seemed to work for both of us:

In his early childhood, Einar's best friend was always his sister Chelsea, two years older but still close enough in age to be peers. At the young age of 11 Einar's older sister grew sick and passed away. Einar also caught the infection, but unlike his older sister was strong enough to make it through and returned to full health. He never really felt the same about his life though, and grew to resent his family, at some subconscious level blaming them and himself for allowing his sister to die. Eventually at the age of 15 he stole some food and his bow and left his house in the night, never to return.

He possessed little in the way of survival skills and was forced to learn them on his own. He frequently went hungry or was cold in the early days when he hadn't hunted or gathered enough food to eat, but when thing were at their worst he went to the roads and was often given or able to trade for food by camps of travellers. He came to revere the road and its people as sacred; his home away from home where he could travel ever onward, bonded to all others who walked with him by the spirit of adventure which they all shared.

While wandering the world with no particular sense of purpose but no particular motivation to find one, he met Serene. Immediately taken by her similar views on life and adventuring, they travelled together for a while before the road took them to Barrelsford, and she convinced him to actually enter a city for the first time in over two years of solitude. While in the city, they found that they were too short on money to do anything there, so they sought mercenary work and it was provided...

Spoiler: Personality

Einar loves to play himself up as a mysterious dark figure. With a flair for the dramatic and characteristic teenaged self-absorption, Einar has viewed himself as a tragic figure ever since he ran away from home. While superficially charming he is not a super huge fan of social interaction and prefers the sparse comforts and quiet of forests and the open road. He sees himself as a trailblazer and a pioneer of new frontiers, and the image frequently enters his mind of himself, and now Serene beside him, walking into the dark of untamed, untravelled lands.

Behind the persona that he tries to present, and never in front of most people, Einar is gentle and kind-hearted. Still suffering from the pain that he will never admit of being away from his family, he is always afraid to feel that pain again and is fiercely protective of those close to him. He feels very attached to Serene abut is very loath to admit it, even to himself.

There were 2 clear winners here, one taking Precise Shot early and playing pretty normally and the other dropping it for a very early Dead Eye and going for cheese amounts of early damage without it.

Standard build is

6 Swift Hunter
7 Improved Skirmish
9 Dead Eye

Hit a quick power spike at level 4 with TD/Rapidshot, taking the cleric level relatively early so I can backup wand, taking improved skirmish over getting the extra shot at 7 because it's superior. Get dead eye at 9 and hit another major spike. Good damage and reliability

Dead eye build is

1 WF (Longbow)
3 Dead Eye
6 Swift Hunter
7 Improved Skirmish
9 Precise Shot

So in exchange for 8 skill points and precise shot I can do 8 more damage with my full attack from level 4 onwards. If I'm getting haste reliably that becomes 12 extra damage
and increases for 1 level to 20 damage at 8, unless I get more dex from an alternate source to bump that up.

Theoretically if I don't retcon things only the first build can be carried through but I had permission to edit the order from FG since I may or may not have mistakenly believed that COTW would allow me to take any feats, and also as GIF pointed out Swift Hunter takes 3 scout levels so I can't go scout1/cleric/1/rangerx as I planned
