I will offer the following

: I would not generally consider someone pushing a "policy lynch" to be playing against wincon in a regular game. Regardless of my personal opinions of the matter, a policy lynch can often be interpreted as in pursuit of increasing chances of winning in the end of that regular game.

However, any move that is made with clear intent to

lower

their chances of winning in the current game in the interest of

raising

their chances of winning in a future game will be interpreted to be playing against wincon. I understand that this is a grey area and always will be, and whether or not a move is made with that intention will be given the same leniency of subjectivity as any regular game would.

Unfortunately, while the game concept is cool, I can't really think of a good way to punish the people actually at fault, since it CAN be (though it usually isn't) that someone's lynch is truly their own fault. Maybe a possibility is to have the town members vote on the LVP's if they lose? Feel like that may lead to toxic behavior though.

I realized this pretty quickly as well and there is a lot of room for improvement.
There's definitely a lot of ground for different implementations and I'd like to see this idea worked with

That's the game. I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge the fact that this was just a pretty broken game. Obviously I wanted to try a different mechanic and didn't do enough to make sure it ended up working out well. Hopefully someone takes this and makes it better. Town wins-- and technically PenguinPower emerges the sole winner, 3 for 3 games. Ultimately judge for yourself how well you played and whether you would have deserved a win, I hope you at least enjoyed it a little bit.
