However, I am fairly familiar with rap, I prefer south rap, like from Texas. You know, lil kiki, big mo, dj screw, etc..

shameless bump because a lot of new rappers have interested me

from the XXXL Freshman, I think G Herbo, Denzel, and Lil Dicky are my favorite off of it. Granted, I didn't listen to really anyone but the bigger names. I might soon. However, I've been getting into those three rappers because I think the'y're all really good in their own way.

Lil D is good because he's a lyricist that's got a great flow and has a good beat. He's sorta mainstream, but he's also really good with his lyrics. His most popular song is "Save Dat Money" which is a song about saving money rather than spending it which I found to be a really cool concept. More examples of this is like "Professional Rapper" where he's rapping a conversation with Snoop, and with "Flames" where he's just really good flow and lyrics.

G Herbo tells a story with what he writes. While you don't necessarily have to agree with it, you have to nod your head to the way he combines his own personal experiences with the flow that isn't fast but is made to tell a story. His music videos really do support that, too.

Denzel Curry is just fucking aggressive, and I love it. Most notably, you've got "Ultimate" by him, but that's such a memetier song because of how people use it for bottle flipping. I think Ult (a play off of Ultimate song which is really good with the same aggressive and lyricist, just not memetier) and Threatz are enjoyable for him.

I've been going into spotify discover recently, and I've discovered a lot of cool ass songs and rappers. Murs is one that comes to mind, his flow delicious, sick spit like kid vicious. Logic (not the one you might be thinking of, though that one is also good) has a really really cool accent to me, and he sounds great. Look up Lost One - Logic feat. Magda Sinit. Ottomattic seems pretty good, but I've only listened to one decent song.

I've gotten a lot into Joey Bada$$'s older songs. Not his new "ah' used ta' feel so devastarderd." Like, Christ Conscious, Unorthodox, and a lot of other songs (rip Capital STEEZ)

Also, Russ seems good, but I've only listened to what you want which is pretty good imo.

I've also been getting into ScHoolboy Q. He's got a couple really cool songs, and I especially love Kendrick's verse in Collard Greens with the Spanish.

Sub Me In by Futuristic and Devvon Terrel is a really cool and quick witted song. If you like fasted paced lyrical witty flow, then that's the song and those are the guys for you.

Been getting into Kid Cudi a lot more, too.

I've been listening to Old Kanye, Hopsin, Logic, Pac, Gambino, {All of N.W.A. before and after they split up}, Outkast, Cole, DMX, and Kendrick for a while now.

Tyga is someone I discovered a while ago, but it wasn't until now that I really started getting into his music. Really cool rapper regarding beats and how he gets the flow to correlate with it.

Oh, also Los with his amazing lyrics and freestyle.

and then ive got a few dark pleasure songs lol.

good rap to me will always be about the message and how much passion they have for their music.

That's why TPAB was so great for me. I loved that entire album.

King Los is also the greatest freestyler I've ever seen. It's what got me into his music. I mean, Sway was throwing out words, and his flow was just undeniable. Check him out if you like good freestyle.

Have fun!

And yeah, I'm excited for his album and what it's gonna be like. The Waters was pretty good, but I couldn't relate too much to it. Drowning is just so good, and I'm really really excited for how he crafts a story about what he believes in rather than "Drink more water... Or you might die."

>This Friday is Good Friday
>Kendrick resurrects in 3 days (Sunday).
>His Spotify has a blue brick wall, while this album has a red brick wall.
>https://www.instagram.com/p/BC7OZMehO8J THIS IS A SONG NOT ON THIS ALBUM

>This album is the B-Sides, and that is the reason why Duckworth was the best song, BECAUSE IT IS THE TRANSITION TO THE REAL ALBUM.

i think the better half has like way more bangers than the first half lol. i mean the beauty of damn is that while not every song on kendrick's old albums can be someone's favorite, everyone i talk to about damn has their own favorites of the song. every single song connects to multiple people on a different level, and it's super cool to see that. i don't think i've ever seen an album impact so many people with every single song on the album itself.

also in another tab in discord some guy literally just posted a death grips video lol

like shit though i just like try to keep my shoes in the best condition for a couple months and then clean them with an old toothbrush. i cant afford anything like that not now or ever, so i just get stuff that will last me but potentially get really dirty. the Nike SB's I got all black don't really ever get dirty though and are pretty durable and fit most of what I want them to do. I'm just outgrowing them : (

3. Atrocity Exibition is better than both, and actually has a sound that could be considered ""progressive""

i dont like the first three songs to luv is rage 2. 4th one is decent. 5th is okay. 6th is something i could jam to kind of. 444+222 is a little better the more i listen to it. i think i was actually jamming to it for a second actually but i skipped it after it stopped being cool. feelings mutual is eh. neon guts bumps lol. the one after that isnt even memorable.

oh shit this unfazed thing came on. i like the beginning but uzi really needs to do something with this. lets see. takes waaaaaaaay too long for him to come in and his flow is the same as the other songs but hes doing a little better.

alright pretty mami my last since i need to get an impression on this x album. i like the chorus and beat, and i like how his voice fades into it in the chorus. i like how it plays out but sounds eerily similar to lots of other songs on the album. it's just way better executed. i especially like where it plays his voice as the beat. cool shit.

listening to x album. since apparently 2nd half is better, im starting with fuck love. chorus singer sounds shit. the beat is really cool. it's crazy what some of the producers out here can do. i dont want x singing. i like it, but i don't. i want something to happen on this beat. the fact that this chorus singer keeps coming on is grinding my ears.

alright carry on. intro is dope as fuck. i like the beat so much. i like how x comes over it.

orlando's got a great intro too. lovely song, actually.

outro was lovely, too.

okay ill give one more a listen. save me. good start, and i feel like the opening lyrics are alluding to another song. the chorus is cool.

okay but you have to understand that eminem and tyler are still intelligent enough to be able to form their own opinions about the world and create lyrical compositions that tell us some sort of story. they also dont blast any gays on twitter from what ive seen. like, it doesnt really matter to me if a rapper isnt school smart, but they have to have some common sense.

it felt like that 2nd half wasnt even rap but it was just smooth beats that were great with him happening to be on it. he didnt fit and i barely payed attention to what he said.

the intros to the 2nd half were great too. otherwise it was meh and i didnt even bother listening to the 1st half

sometimes problems arise from even the most curious circumstances, but that doesn't have anything to do with eminem's album. the album itself is based off selfish desires and don't reflect anything that he's trying to convey as honest or actually thoughtful. it's radio bait, as you said, but in the worst form possible.

I also played till I collapse and soldier and they asked me to skip them and play river if i wanted to listen to em or just put on xan/pump/x :?

where to find friends that like good music ?

lol i feel it. one of my buds didnt know who wutang was, and i got a little heated. theres certain people youll find that share ur music tastes, so you gotta stick close to them. with others, you just gotta keep your mind open to their music.

i feel it. i similarly used to hate a lot of new artists before i just got big into all types of music. idk, it just takes a lot more energy to hate and dislike certain artists, so i just kinda listen to everything my friends turn on.

that doesnt mean i think theyre talented or even good people. actually, i refuse to listen to 6ix9ine because i think hes a fucking scumbag, and i'll constantly shit talk trippie red or lil xan. wont diss someone if they turn it on tho, i guess. think the only thing i cant tolerate is new country. old country is sick.
