the below flavour is just there because I love the sound of my own voice!
This is a standalone & easy-to-learn game, and there are no requirements to play.
If you are confused please scroll down to "So what is Spyfall?"
Welcome, citizens of the Mish Mash, to Spyfall Part 2.
Part one, hosted by the awesome Beefster, is over.
In a shocking finale, the truth was revealed. An agent from the KGB had been amongst the town all along - and in the guise of a KGB agent, no less!
Unfortunately for the town, the truth was revealed too late. Having completed her mysterious agenda, the spy was whisked away, never to be seen in the Crypt again.
But so many mysteries remained unsolved.
What ever had their agenda been?
Why had a spy hidden themselves in such an eerie locale?
And why had they become afflicted by such convenient amnesia?
In usual sequel fashion, this round is going have more players, more spies, more explosions and more twists than ever before so sign up now and prepare yourself for a wild ride!

Yeah, tough balance
If we kept deadlines tho we’d ask no questions so i’m glad that’s gone, but wincons feel more complicated
I’m feeling this as a playtest
I'm gonna suggest that the spies get one factional guess. One guessing wrong loses the game for both spies. What does everyone think?
Since you can play Spyfall and have 1 spy vs 20 town pretty comfortably (it's actually easier for the spy the more people you have), having 2vX is instantly spysided, just from a "2 heads > 1" POV.... But if the town targets a random person it also doubles their chance of winning. But it's also a fun idea and it's kinda difficult to anticipate how forum play will work. So let's do it!
Also we now have 12 people which is very exciting! I'm just waiting for a response from randomidget but will give them 24 hours. If anyone still wants to play, please /in for the replacement queue.

Good point. Perhaps it's not as inbalanced as I feared. I think the 2 spy thing is helpful to the spies because of the forum environment -- it's generally a spytell when a player has no synergy with other players (players "bouncing off each other" well happens a lot with an informed majority).... and there's double the amount of deception!
Mathematically it is town sided. Traditional rules would be 1v11 (9% winrate by random lynch) while this is 18%.
As things stand I think we should run with 8/12 votes for lynch btw.

True. OK official decisions on balancing for 2 spies:
- the spies know each others identities.
- there is no out of thread communication.
- if the town mislynches, the spies win.
- if a spy reveals & guesses the location incorrectly, no further questions may be asked. Their partner has 24 hours to make a final guess, or the Spies forfeit.

I AM NEVER NICE
Confirm 8 votes to formally accuse a spy.
If the accusation is made against a townie, spies win.
If the accusation is made against a spy, the town wins.
I'll give everyone cookies if both spies are correctly identified. BUT it is not a part of the town's win condition.

Random's reply was bloody adorable
Town played spectacularly this game. spies played very well too. Technically Mallow's strat is the best way to play spy irl (try to read cues in questions and make BOLD answers and hope for the best). I think because of the forum environment and longer timelines town are more likely to be shady.

That's a thing!! Brilliant. I'll volunteer to mod unless people strongly object and maybe set up one Spyfall sign up & discussion thread then mini game threads in there?
