And Chara is the absolute worst player to have as scum. Drafting Chara to deny the town Chara's obvtownness doesn't make up for the fact that no amount of them being a hydra can hide when Chara is a scumfuck, so.

If you interpreted that as me cheekily saying "oh this post is a scumclaim", you're looking at it wrong. It's really boring seeing people like mastina or firebringer say "lol yeah guys i'm scum!!!!", and i think chara did it too. I normally dislike policy lynches but it makes me want to policy lynch them to get peopl eto stop doing it.

What I am saying is:

1) You claimed miller. In my books, this buys you at minimum day 1 free. Go, frolick while you can, because...
2) that post was awful, and while I don't make an outright rule of "always kill millers before lylo" this is a situation which calls for it because

I'm starting to see a pattern of behaviour from her in who she pushes and why, and I think her pushing me here is something she does as scum almost triple as often as she does as town. Maybe more. And the schtick kind of falls within her normal behaviour.... but it also just feels cheeky, and Maria scum is kind of cheeky from my experience, where as her town is far more focused and driven, so.....

It's not a bad vig shot all things considered. Entrance was really forced and fit with something I was expecting given VN Mafia. Later posts were way better, in terms of tone, but I really don't have a good reason not to think she's scum and trust my gut.

I have an internal list of players, two of them actually. Ones that are good picks for scum (rated on visibility, talent and risk) and ones that are good for town (rated on scumhunting, charisma and looking like town).

Those lists have inverse values to the other side's draft. High on the scum list means you are also a decent pick for town in terms of hate drafting.

Same for scum, so add that as a fourth value to each side.

I could write these lists out for you, but I don't think that adds any value. What I am saying is that you are high on BOTH scales, and that makes you an incredibly enticing pick. I think you probably got drafted by Pine pick one or pick 2.

This move always ends in a town lynch in this game, I cannot believe you don't understand why forcing a kingmaker into a non-kingmaker enforced game will not work.

So here, confirmed town whatever, let me spell it the fuck out for you.

You will divide this town into two camps, with a few different factions of people in each

Camp Who wants to follow the kingmaker plan, filled with:
The king
The people who agree with the king
people who want to support the confirmed town treestump and remain unified
and scum presence.

and

Camp who do not want to follow the Kingmaker plan, filled with:
The person the king selected
people who think that person is town/the king's reads are stupid
people who think the kingmaker plan is stupid and will not support it unequivically/think their own reads are better
and scum presence.

So, let's examine some scenarios.

First, the one where you pick a scum kingmaker, that ALWAYS ends in a town lynch because the king will select a townie and then the counter wagon will form from a group of diverse people with diverse opinions, and the common denominator is something the rest of the scum can dictate by saying "I will not lynch X today" so you will have dueling town wagons.

Next, the kingmaker is town, but he picks a townie. We have the same problem. Scum will support this, putting pressure on this townie, and then the other scum will support the counter wagon to ensure it is on town as well.

You might be saying at this point: "But LLD, I think you over estimate scum's ability to manipulate and control the lynch selection in the non-king section".

To that I say "informed minority times large lynch pool equals easy compromise mislynch" but let's even assume you're right. For the above two scenarios, the scum don't even NEED to support it, thye can just have the dueling wagons go on, have the scum be run up by the non-king side and then when it comes close to deadline, deadline lynch the king's choice and say "I just decided to follow along". Hedge, demotivate, crush. Simple.

So let's get back on track with the FINAL scenario. Your king actually chooses a scum target. Then the scum mobilize, some scum will support and bus, but they will do the same thing they did otherwise to create a townie counter wagon, and then support that.

So essentially, by forcing the town into two camps like this you create a rift that can be exploited by the scum, and you need both:

1) the king to be right
2) the townies in the non-king camp to be sufficiently unified on a lynch choice that they can't be as easily manuevered off of it AND for that choice to be scum.

So you have 2 scum wagons and the dueling won't result in a town lynch.

Which basically never happens.

If you go with this plan, today will be a town lynch, you'll shrug your shoulders and accept none of the blame.

But it will be entirely your fault.

1) because her whole gambit of trying to lynch herself made no sense and now it makes some amount of sense in the crazy world that is "Mastina-land". Additionally, a Godfather role given to town makes a lot of sense in this game. Alisae forced to give that role to someone, and giving it to MASTIN, someone who is going to be permanently under fire, makes a ton of sense too. It just feels like there's a lot of implied odds towards Mastina being town.

Literally, after I called her scum yesterday, I felt she would be the LAST PERSON scum would kill. My other thought was Aristophanes, but I felt that it was better to go with Ginngie, feels like a more "out there" kill.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here.

The obvious kill is me.

The less obvious kill is [anyone else in the game].

Within that subset of [anyone else in the game] the motivation is clearly to try and get me lynched.

So, I presumed I would either

1) get the target right and live
2) die
3) get the target wrong, but live as a result of them choosing to kill someone else to lynch me

so in #1 and 2, I'm the target of the kill originally, but I either die or redirect it. In these cases, the person I redirect to does not matter.

In #3 I'm not the target of the kill, so it opens the possibility where I target someone, and then redirect that person to the person who scum chose to kill, which gives me a false positive.

False positives are deadly, so I tried to pick the player I thought scum would kill the least likely.

That player was Ginngie. Why? because if they go for plan 3, which includes "lynching LLD by framing her", they would need to make a kill that makes sense for LLD to make. Ginngie thought I was town, and I thought she was scum, and she even agreed to die later in the game if needed.

As a result, among all the kills I found her least likely, and so to avoid overlap and the false positive world, I chose her as the redirect target.
