Either way, optimal SK play is to act like a vigilante until Mafia is dead. Optimal Town play is to eliminate the Mafia, then if the game isn't over, to THEN hunt the SK. Mulch is fine as long as he keeps scumhunting. In the tiny chance that he's SK, we'll deal with him later. In any case, we don't worry about it until it becomes necessary.

Actually, I think you're onto something here.

Firebringer seems to be acting intentionally scummy, which you would only do as a PR. You wouldn't openly claim Cop and then later claim Vig and "forget" which one as a town PR. And it doesn't look like a joke fake claim either.
