It's a shame this attempt at damage control didn't help stop the "Alisae Effect".

I think we need to consider that towns get worse when Alisae is present in games and how that may not reflect on the site as a whole.

It was foretold. "Beware of the face wrapped in rainbows, for it will Herald the end of days and usher a never ending twilight" Was said but of course nobody listened. Well some did and as your correctly htpothesised tried to preemptively prepare the site for what was to come. Of course it was all in vain. The wave came and it engulfed the lands of mafia leaving only stragglers on rafts.
It is still debated if this is an unconscious effect or if it was alisae's master plan all along.
