I agree with this. I woke up with a cold this morning so my head is fogged, but I think it would be riskier for a CL to try to recruit from a single wagon. Anyone have the background to verify this?In post 287, northsidegal wrote:wouldn't a single wagon give us better odds on either getting a potential double recruit or scaring the cults away from recruiting that player in the first place? like, if there's one wagon then a cult will only choose to recruit there if they think that the other cult hasn't already done so, but if there's two then from the perspective of one cult there's always the chance that the other cult recruited the other wagon, making recruiting on-wagon a safer decision.
It seems to me like a better strategy for getting immunizations on non-recruited players is to build a wagon on one person to l-1 and then somehow (either one person or we as a group) come to a decision that we either hammer that person or we switch to someone else on a flashwagon.
Having two cult leaders seems to be the key that prevents a CL from always recruiting the likely 'immunized' player before the hammer.- Ms Columbo

So what do you think, should we have one wagon, multiple wagons, does it matter?

Was this intended as a traditional 'lynch him' vote or was it a the game specified vote to make him immune?

Where have you been this whole time?
If we trust Cerebus, it make sense to vote for the person he jails. I can buy what he has presented so far, but I've never played with him (or most of you) before.
Do you think Cerebus is neutral/town or do you think he is part of the cult?- Ms Columbo

That's risky then. I'm not sure at all. My guess is town/town (between all the Almost/Cerebus/Jay stuff)...but ehhh....In post 987, Chickadee wrote:I honestly don't know at this point. I'd like to believe he's neutral though.
Given Inferno's D1 (Play1) play, I would be surprised if he was a CL. He could have been recruited, that's the only risky part I see to his current wagon. I'm okay voting him:

My guess is that Virgin is a role (which are all recruitable) but also a state of a role (little v) that determines whether that role is recruitable. In post 1194, Cerberus v666 wrote:
First of all, we KNOW that virgins are not the only recruitables. In post 1191, Almost50 wrote:@Gamma: Well, I know Virgin = Vanilla = no abilities (Remember: Vanilla could also be goon/ww in other games, so it's a basic role with no abilities and could be on any alignment).
What I thought was only virgins can be recruited (as per the first announcement). Now I'm no longer sure because NSG managed to plant the seeds of doubt in my mind about the identity of the announcer, and thus the motive behind their announcements.
The sample PM's clearly lay out that the transylvanians can be recruited, and the mod later clarified that BOTH those pm's are used in this game.
The only possible exception is if virgin is being used to refer to the transylvanians as well.
Somewhere it was stated that ITT's are recruitable, I that to mean they are all virgins.
I agree with what Gamma speculated....Brad and Janet both start the movie as virgins and I expect those roles in this game to start as virgins. That would explain Varsoon's involvement in the threesome reducing the number of virgins. So my guess is that PRs may or may not start the game as virgins and may or may not be recruitable.
Did that make sense?
I'm taking the Voice as useful moderator info (otherwise, we basically have nothing).- Ms Columbo

You seem familiar with the show, do you have an idea how a pack of wild dogs fits with this theme? Except perhaps metaphorically? In post 1273, Chickadee wrote:I don’t like the idea of limiting ourselves like that, but I do like the idea of getting down to business.
I can protect someone from being recruited but they won’t be able to do anything if they have an ability. Just FYI.
I’m
Just going to claim the other part of my role since I don’t have to worry about being killed by scum. I’m a pack of wild dogs. I’m addition to big shots, I can also chase someone, which means they cannot use actions and actions cannot be taken against them. That also means that they cannot be immunized while they are being chased. So it’s wise not to vote that person for immunizations. It’s also limited #. I have yet to use any of those but do plan to use one in the next phase and will announce.

I went back and ISO'd Venmar. If he was recruited, compared to early in the game he has basically checked out. I read it as disinterest/frustration. I don't get the sense he would do that as cult. I think the key is that only virgins can be recruited. Drealmer stated that somewhere. I still hold to the assumption that whether or not you start the game a virgin, is not based on whether or not you had a role. I suspect that some roles cannot be recruited. It seems to fit with the flavor and would help maintain balance.- Ms Columbo

Ummm...what I posted had nothing to do with Chickadee, you read that all yourself. It was about Brad and Janet, they both make sense to be virgins. Assuming Janet was recruited (that's how I read the reveal), she had to be a virgin. Brad apparently was deflowered according to the Voice. I assumed Varsoon was no longer recruitable after the Voice message. I assume a role like Magenta is not recruitable, as she is obviously not a virgin. It fits with the flavor and I don't think anything has contradicted that. Non-human roles...not necessarily obvious, but my guess is only humans are virgins. In post 1893, mutantdevle wrote:
Is making a statement to refute the idea that Chickadee could be a part of a cult whilst not explicitly or directly defending Chickadee. We had discussions earlier about what is classified as a 'virgin' in the context of only virgins are able to be recruited, such a statement as this would have been fine back then. But the only reason to say something like this now would be to defend Chickadee. If Ms Columbo had specified that she doesn't think Chickadee would be recruitable because of this statement then I wouldn't have a problem with it. But, she has tried to hide her motive here. She expects us to come to the conclusion on our own that Chickadee isn't recruitable. The only reason she'd have to hide her motive of wanting to defend Chickadee would be because she doesn't want to form associations with her. Sure, this could be overly cautious town, but it's scummy at best and a fellow cult member of Chickadee has perfect motivation to phrase a defence like this.
If there are any more killing roles out there that don't want to risk shooting a town PR, perhaps try Ms Columbo first? If they flip cult, I think that'd be a huge implication that Chickadee is cult too.- Ms Columbo

I think that's enough to hammer.
If this post is true 6 players have been recruited (if I counted phases right) for a total of 8 cult (1 dead). Which means there are 16 neutrals (5 dead). So there are 11 living neutrals and 7 living cult.
The largest a single cult could be is 7, but that seems highly unlikely. That would mean boon was a cult leader with no recruits when he died. The existing balance is more likely 4/3 or 5/2.
Does that sound right?
