Sure it's possible that there's some other dayvig ability that killed Maria without announcing a shot, and that Mulch's shot got blocked entirely, but it seems far more likely Mulch was somehow redirected.

Why do we need to know who shot Maria?

Many reasons, chief among them being that it's hard to make judgments about the alignment and motivations of the killer without knowing who they are.

The only reason I didn't jump into this immediately on entrance was because if the killer is Town, they may understandably not want to claim, but now that their role is different, they have no reason to hide.

IF that vig was a bus vig, and I'm honestly not sure whether it was or not, I'm reasonably sure Vax would be the scum party, not Mulch.

Think about it.
Vax asks Mulch who to shoot.
If he shoots Town, Vax can blame Mulch and push a mislynch.
If he shoots Scum, Vax can take the credit and coast off the towncred.

We had plenty of time before the next reroll would even be available. You also would have had time in between the reroll request and the actual rerolling if anyone tried. Plus, it's not like you're keeping this role anyway. I guarantee SOMEONE is going to request a reroll as soon as the next day starts.

I think this is a bad idea.

Even assuming Nero is Town for the moment, no scum in their right mind are going to agree to hammer, so that's already one Town dead. On top of that, if his verge goes to Mulch, which all indicators say it will, we'll come out of today losing 5 town (Maria, Nero, Mulch, Hammerer, Nico) and only one scum (ArcAngel)

This is an extremely anti-town play.

I don't think its outside the realms of impossibility that he tells Vax to kill his useless scumbuddy and I'm planning on him being my venge kill since if he's scum then he'll be a harder lynch and if he's town then its not like town loses a valuable player or anything.

At the same time, I was kinda paranoid that Eddie was egging on the Mulch paranoia.

RR's wanting to know who shot Maria is kinda weird and his paranoia that Vax is the scum that shot his buddy b/c Mulch told him too seems so tinfoily and bad.

Based on your interactions this game and your apparent history, I don't think convincing you not to shoot Mulch is possible.

Yes, it's possible that given the opportunity to have any player killed, scum!Mulch chose to kill his partner for towncred, even with several other lurksacks to choose from that probably wouldn't have gotten him in much trouble.

It is also possible that Vax was scum and was content to kill anybody with Mulch as a scapegoat for town shots or free towncred for scum shots.

It is also possible that they're both just really lucky Town.

It is also possible that they're both Scum and planned to share in the towncred from killing their buddy.

Regardless of the situation leading up to it, dead scum is a pro-town result, and that's just a fact. Killing three town with one lynch is anti-town.

Depends on how big the scumteam is.
In a small team, no probably not.
In a larger team, say 5 or so, it might be worth it to take two town for one scum.
