Also we might try keeping everything the same and if spy guesses game ends as usual but uf they are wrong they can 1 extra time.
This would probably even allow adding locations lol, and I figure this way if town work harder to be vague the spy won't have an easy time even with 2 guesses. Especially that they have to be 2 guesses in a row with no additional info in between.
We have to test either way.
How many locations are there currently? I'm curious how we landed on "20" locations as the compromise. How much smaller is that?

I'll do some maths tonight if I remember. Maybe 1/7 or something?

I'd be pretty interested in trialling something like what RC suggested postgame in Game #6.
Basically rarher than use a prescribed location list (which is probably scumsided when small and very boring when large)--the spy would be given a clue about the location (e.g. it is 7 letters long). It may be or may not be on the prescribed location list.
This very much changes the nature of the spy's game from PoE and deduction to creative thinking and critical analysis of town's posts.
Thoughts ppl? If half+ the player list are willing to give it a go we'll try it. Sorry for all the chaos the last few games. I'm pretty keen on finding a workable balanced and fun format for forum play that doesn't get old too quickly.
My gut says it won't work as well as a list (key is finding the right size).
BUT I am willing to try any variation to find the best one for this format.
I've never played Spyfall before, so I'm up for either way. As long as I'm not the spy of course. Being scum is hard, and not having a list does sound potentially harder. I think I'm good at creative thinking though.
