I do, but only for certain things. Things like soft voices and whispering in certain tones can put me in a very peaceful state, kind of like getting my brain massaged, and I don't want to stop listening to it.

"The problem is that the priorities regarding our student's education seem to be not nearly as much about critical thinking as about useless regurgitation of concepts and an obsession with wondering whether something IS common knowledge or is not paraphrased well enough.
The problem with pointing out an example of a student who plagiarized a whole paper is that the principle of a student's writing a well paraphrased and cited paper with a regurgitation of facts and a student's writing a copied paper with a regurgitation of facts is the same. The principle is that you are just asking a student to "data mine" in order to find facts that relate to a prompt and then judging its presentation for whether or not the student changed pieces of information around with mere synonyms, reordering, and the name of someone else who happened to say the same thing as you have found has said.
That's not the kind of assignment that teaches critical thinking.
