In this game, it's not possible to overestimate the scum.

Mastina was always going to self-immolate, but she was a fantastic distraction while she did. Implosion and MathDino/Brian Skies were totally under the radar until Ellibereth sniped them out.

And as I have said, the scumbuddy who went the distance was my first draft pick. She's done an awesome job.

So...next year “forget” to invite Ellibereth, and check if your best gal is in a self-immolation mood first.

I’ll take the second win :D

I really don’t think Town was as bad as overly-negative dinosaurs want to make it out to be. They over-relied on Ellibereth’s reads, then forgot about them in endgame. The nightkills really set this up though. Getting rid of Centipede, neutralizing Firebringer through roleblock and kill, correctly guessing the Mason, and setting up the LLD/Katsuki collision. The vengeful aspect wasn’t expected, but it was a nice bonus.

The plan was originally to kill LLD and eliminate the potential for her to clear people based on redirects. Then I decided not to, and use the WIFOM of her survival as bait, guessing that *someone* would take it and get her killed by Town for us, or at least drive some TvT conflict. It was a calculated gamble, and it paid off. Like I said, the Vengeful thing was bonus, but the conflict was planned.

I can go find the relevant portions of the scum PT if you don't believe me.

If anyone ever deserved a 'Best Performance in a Losing Cause' Scummy nomination.

I was floored by how much you lived up to the hype. I was going on and on in the scum PT and not believing in magic, while people were panicking. Then you dropped a truth bomb, and I was like "We can handle this, let's try to get a ML or two in." NOPE. Underestimated the reputation again. You made me bust out my strongman kill N1. Kill it with fire and nuke it from orbit, just to be sure.

Hello friends!

I have a 17-player Large Normal about to enter signups. I asked Alibae to open the thread for a few minutes to advertise to this group in particular, because you are some of my favorite people to play with.

Normal games aren't meant to have a theme, but they are allowed to have original flavor. This game will have abundant flavor revolving around my daughter's first few days, and is tentatively titled NY 214: Project Pinecone.

While it will not be operating under the geriatric ruleset, there will be generous deadlines, and is intended specifically to be a
laid back game.
So if you're a tryhard player, come play, but maybe take it easy in this game.

Don't wake the baby.
