I suppose we can, so long as we don't hint at our current roles as it really isn't useful unless we're a lynch target.

I discarded compulsive childkiller because I didn't want to kill someone who claims innocent child. Mod confirmed for me that only town can claim innocent child. So, that would only hurt the wincon chances for my faction.

Thusly, I wanted nothing to do with that card. The rest is history.

I discarded Lover because my three options were all town and I knew which role I wanted the second I read it. I chose Lover as my discard rather than my alignment role (Because I would never pick that role) mostly so that it was easier to type about when the discards became public.

I just realized I am making a mistake here. The people with rejected mafia roles are less likely to be mafia rather than more likely. I hadn't looked at how many cards were in each faction, earlier.
