If there are no newbie games happening, are we allowed to join a normal game? I’ve read a couple of possibly contradictory answers on this in different places, so am just checking.

Thanks. I’ll had a look around but so far can’t find anything that seems right for a first game, so I might just have to wait, hopefully won’t be too much longer :)
