I didn't misrep anything - your reaction to Nico was hostile (do you deny this?) - and I have a tough time understanding why you reacted as strongly as you did (i.e. it felt unnatural). I also interpreted this as betraying a certain degree of frustration, frustration that doesn't make much sense from a town perspective (why would town get so upset over a player confirming another player via role mechanics?) but makes a lot of sense from a scum perspective because scum don't like it when players confirm townies as town...

Creature is OK but I don't think that flip gives much of any info without another scum flip.

The thing about lynches like that is they're traps if the gamestate is one where most of town is pretty deep and only a couple are being competent

It's not necessarily what's going on here but it begs the question of now necessary it is to eliminate that quickly when there's a similar scum equity lynch with far more information attached.

It's bad that you're defending Creature based on really scummy logic ("let's lynch the player that gives us more information instead of the player most likely to flip scum who we're going to lynch anyway at some point").

We could argue theory all you want but in actual practice scum push this type of logic much more often than town because at bottom it benefits scum much more often than town.

I think TPF, Creature and Angel are scum. Possibly Rennais as the fourth? There were some weird interactions between them. Rennais said that “Angel is town like me”, I believe. It will be interesting to see if GIF sheeps them on Nico vote. Rennais also had Creature crossed out on her readslist.

i will consider the case to be a milkstool. it has three legs. my read on creature, psych eval, and peripheral reads.
to begin with the main point. i know how shit creature is as playing as scum. why do i go to these lengths to avoid his lynch? as RC said, people are more likely to try and get credit off of a creature lynch than bother defending him. this point just doesn't work as an indicator of me.
on another note, i reacted the exact same way to nico's play in spring fever where they were scum and shouted me down over me pushing them for inactivity. nico is prolly town but i was not going to let them get away with lurking to victory again.
thirdly, at EoD yesterday i had a scumread n tpf and ambivalence towards creature. i thought a tpf wagon had more support than it did. calling me out for not voting someone i wasnt scumreading is kinda ridiculous.
also my flip on renais was bc someone cased them and i agreed with the case.
first my continuation of my nico scumread despite contrary evidence was scummy
now me changing my mind when alternate info was presented in scummy.

Well, I'll refrain from commenting on tpfkap, because Porkens is my predecessor, and I honestly have no clue wtf he was doing. He always has a weird play style that people scum read, and I've never quite been able to get inside his head.

Gonna be honest, here's what I've done so far since getting my role pm: I took a shower, ate some lunch, ISO'd my slot, ISO'd the mod to get highlights, checked in with my neighborhood, Saw that Creature was being scum read and ISO'd him.

Taly, here's my problem. My vote on creature is basically a gut thing. Something "feels" off, but I can't say "in Post x, line y, Creature said z" which points to it. I'm not heavily committed for that reason.

Renais is the result of hooking a dice roller up to a dictionary, and I would vote her just to get it to stop, except for the fear of flipping town.

I'd have said Nico for active lurking, since Nico's posts still have not included value.

And yeah. The pointless antagonism from Wheme is having a negative effect on me and my interest in this game, I will admit.

Unless you want her alive to lategame/endgame, you gotta bite the bullet and do it. There's no guarantee we have a killing role to deal with her, and if we do lynch her, it's way better to do it early, both if she's Town and if she's Scum. If you don't think she's going to post AI content, then you gain nothing on your ability to read her by waiting.

If she's Town: Better to burn the mislynch D1 when we have the least info to go off of anyway, rather than on a day like D4 when we presumably all have good scumtargets. Killing her early also removes the distraction and debate of PLing her vs. lynching the scummiest players.

If she's Scum: We'd have to lynch her to win anyway, and we get a flipped Scum player to draw reads off of D1.

Like, I can get on board with Creature being Scum, but my ability to read him is only going to get better as the game goes on, and it's not for the players like Renais that are posting osusnly fluff. Plus, the fact that I'm the only person on her despite a lot of lukewarm suspicion absolutely reads to me like the scumteam is protecting her.
