If you insist on comparison, I personally prefer it to snark attack but that's because I never associated SKrew with sharks or even particularly being snarky, whereas the worst is strongly associated with ducks and would be even if he lost his avatar and he is a very warm person
But even if you insist it's worse (I'm confident that for the vast majority of people who think its worse it's because they don't really know the worst whereas they do know sleepykrew but that's by the by), there is a middle ground between "snark attack" and "mediocre" that exists and that, from the point of view that it's worse, the title lies in.- Davsto

My point with that ironic proposal is that much as getting no 0s is kinda cool... It's really not that noteworthy or even a particularly impressive achievement. I'm pretty sure there's multiple users who'd also get no zeros if not for that user that only gave people either 10s or 0s, and probably more. I'm pretty sure there were several last year. I even forgot that he did until you mentioned it, so it's hardly a memorable moment.- Davsto

as everyone here knows i love pun based and clever titles etc
But sometimes simple is just better
I see all these titles and they're interesting and well thought out but ultimately don't have quite the punch and amusement factor of "pew pew pew"
I don't see why we should force a "clever" title for the sake of having the title be "clever" when the simpler, more straightforward title is preferable in its effectiveness- Davsto

Not an nth for pew pew pew btw because I'm still not sure on the concept of a laser tag based title at all (in a few months how many of us will really remember that chick knows all sorts about it without the title reminding us?)
I just am noting that, personally speaking, I think pew pew pew is better than the other suggestions as a title in some ways- Davsto

don't diss on DRK because you're annoyed someone isn't getting a title you think is good.In post 675, xyzzy wrote:there's no point in discussing it. DRK's just gonna keep moving the goalposts to avoid having to actually give out any titles
The whole point of this discussion is to get a variety of different perspectives. Sure, most people who went to the meet are for it, but when a majority of the people who didn't (i.e. most of the site) aren't for it, maybe you should take into consideration the title being for the site as a whole rather than saying that they're wrong because they haven't seen it from your perspective- Davsto

you're easily the person I've seen get most shitty about this lmaoIn post 690, Majiffy wrote:The backlash drama over a custom user title that is non-offensive, applicable and already approved by the would-be-title-holder is absolutely astonishing. As a more serious answer, even as a survivor outsider I can appreciate that hiplop's title relates to something important within that circle and title worthy.
As an outsider to the meet, and even with the info currently provided, I cannot see how Chickadee being an expert in laser tag is title worthy.
And I think that's the important distinction I'm trying to make. It's not just that those at the meet don't "get" it, it's that many of those outside the meet, even when it's thoroughly explained and pushed, still don't agree it's title worthy, and I think that's maybe a perspective worth listening to.- Davsto

Idk majiffy I don't wanna be a sarcastic dick honestly
It's just when you kick up a fuss and swear and shout and ignore valid points like my longer post last page while having the nerve to call those calmly disagreeing with the title being good (in a thread which is literally for discussing whether you think a title is good or bad) "petulant toddlers" or being "up in arms" it rubs me the wrong way lmao
pedit wow really proving my point there- Davsto

Is that a long way to travel to meets? Genuine question, I'm not really sure if people often travel that far or not.
Unless it is an abnormality for journeys to be that long, and the people are genuinely travelling that extra mile for the sake of the laser tag, that seems otherwise unremarkable. Chickadee may have chosen the laser tag with her knowledge, sure, but people would still go to the meet otherwise because, like, it's a meet yk.
I'm not explaining it very well and some other nuances are there I can't quite put into words but as cool as that sounds, without confirmation that it is really an abnormality for people to travel that far for meets it does just seem like that's a regular meet thing and also cool laser tag recommended by chick, rather than there being a correlation, if that makes sense.- Davsto

Yea, last I checked Kat is a guy, apologies to Kat if I'm just wrong or stuff has changed in the meantimeIn post 759, Maruchan wrote:so everyone keeps saying she in reference to katsuki
the person who i thought was katsuki who was at the meet was most definitely not female, and from their posts in the trans thread, i do not get the impression they are trans.
the person I am thinking if is most definitely a straight cis oriental-backgrounded individual.
is this the same person?
if so nth the nom?
Also nth Cupcake
