If MS implemented a points system, I'd turn it off or make it private. Sounds like an okay thing at first, but it'd put pressure on the higher ranking players to live up to their achievement and might cause resentment from the lower ranking players. Plus, we're human. We're more than just the numbers associated with our lives.

50%+ of the playerbase will likely ignore the queue, but it’d help with retention I think because will have a stake in the points.
In post 893, ManateeDude wrote:As a person who started on other sites, a huge reason why ms is dying is because of the standard two week long days. I started as a ToS player, and I moved to the Forum Mafia Section there, the phases range from 120/48 to 72/24. Nobody wants to come to here with these phase lengths, I suggest that some games have shortened dayphases, because ms won't adapt otherwise.
What mastina has said.
Plus, there's nothing stopping a sub-culture of shorter deadline games from existing on the site. It's just that it's not particularly in demand/has a limited pool of players (supposedly - I'm not particularly knowledgable about this).

To be fair, you can have fun nighttime shenanigans (aka role madness) while still having scum hunting and debating.
I was going to say start simple and then invite discussion.
"Would you play a game with shorter deadlines?"
"Yes"
"No"
"Maybe. Please comment."
For people who don't visit MD, I'd probably ask a game mod for permission to post a link to the MD discussion after a game has been completed - regardless if it had been run with 2 week deadlines or not.
I've added some other poll options to go along with that:
"Presently? Yes, I'd play a game with shorter deadlines, but not in the future."
"Presently? No, I wouldn't play a game with shorter deadlines, but maybe in the future"
@Katsuki - It might've been the flavor of Fate's game that attracted a lot of people. I know that that was something that attracted me to it. I love the horoscopes!
