What I'm ASKING is to not have the entire town lose half a point. I'd rather mislynch and give it another shot D2 than have that happen. In post 98, Mathdino wrote:Screw that. Compromise lynches are fundamentally non-random. The only way they can go through is if scum agree to be a part of it. Unless there's the rare situation in which all players available to compromise are town and somehow the lynch is on town.
In other words, in asking me to compromise on Nico, you're asking me to believe that the entire town is {Ausuka, N_M, Pine, Mathdino}.
No, if Nico is possible to lynch, that heavily indicates town to me.
Non-random lynches in this setup are HIGHLY likely to land on town because of that extra control scum have, given that they can just stonewall a lynch.
I want my random lynch. N_M not hammering is problematic as fuck.
Your aversion to this is concerning.
Thank you for finding the words to contextualize my instinctive aversion to that strategy. It's...unsportsmanlike.In post 99, Not_Mafia wrote:Oh yeah the random thing

Yes it does matter if we lose half a point. This is a series of nine games. Given that the trend will be to flatten everyone out to some average number over the course of that many iterations, half a point will matter for the long game.
Stop thinking with your RNG."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

I don't agree with your assessment. It assumes that everyone follows the strategy, and everyone follows the same roll. The fact that you're the only one inclined to do so invalidates the strategy. Period.
Also Ausuka not self-hammering at EOD is absolutely a scumclaim.Never mind, ninjaed. Please follow through if you want to retain credibility, Ausuka."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

I think pulling off of Ausuka was a mistake. She was up, and talked us into a Townie. That there was never a hammer there is looking really shady in retrospect. Not liking the way she pivoted, either.

Not upset, really. That just went from winnable to lost in a big lazy hurry.
Hammer testing people like that is really risky. You essentially repeatedly gambled the game on people being Town and got lucky that NM and I weren’t around to take advantage."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Crossvotes only work in 3p LYLO. This is 5p. Coordinating a quickhammer with a partner is harder than it looks. You're frivolously clearing people, and working this angle way too hard. It does not work that way."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Actually, in reviewing Nico, her only substantive contributions to Game 2 have been her naked votes. That’s minimalist scum.
I’ll vote now, for two reasons. One, I want to assure RF that I’m not hedging my bets here, I’m willing to take the risk on him. Two, if I’m wrong about Nico, it doesn’t matter whether RF hammers or Math, and I’d rather get it over with if I’m wrong.
Between games, when no one is either scum or Town, we need to have a discussion of tactics. The bullshit Math is pushing is bad Townplay, and he’s done it now as both Town and scum.

What the fuck? No we didn't.In post 340, Mathdino wrote:pine knows i don't lie about strategy or mechanics as scum. we've talked about this on discord. and WE JUST TALKED ABOUT IT IN BETWEEN GAMES.
And I don't think you're lying about mechanics, I think you're honestly wrong about strategy. Again, you've pushed this bullshit L-2 clearing thing twice now, and at least the first time you were Town. It just plain doesn't work the way you're talking about!"Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

And at this point, Math is just trying to lobby RF instead of actually engaging me.
Also, another nonsense thing - he's sarcastically talking about how I had "suspiciously perfect reads" this game, but ignoring the fact that I was wrongly on NM. He's flailing really hard to distract from a scummy partner.
PE: I'm not voting you on policy. Don't put words in my mouth AGAIN. I voted you because spewing bullshit is scummy."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Okay
Game is over, no angles.
You have *got* to stop giving people clears when they get one vote on them. Yeah, scum could coordinate a quickhammer, but ONLY if it's TvT, and ONLY if they can find time to be on together. That's sometimes like pulling teeth. It simply isn't reliable.
So it's soft confirmation at best. The only way to be sure is at L-1 when someone declines to hammer, and then you are very much risking the game on it."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"
