Character wise, I'll see if i can convince myself to not play a Bard.
lvl 1 campaigns are awful tbh
lvls 1-3 are boring as shit. 3 is at least when you get your class specialization that makes it feel more unique and interesting
lvl 1 is just "lets hit things once every round and that's it"
I'd generally agree with this, but I am trying to work on Roleplaying, and levels 1 and 2 are good times to really roleplay the roots of your character choices.
That being said, my group generally skips straight to level 3 these days when we decide to reroll, which has been often since we go for months without playing right now and kind of forget our characters and can't find sheets.
I've only made one good post, and don't you dare accuse me of doing it again.

I mean, I don't think we'll be doing more than 1-2 fights at level 1. It will be like the play by post equivalent of a session per level until level 3. This is more for people expressing interest in case they were expecting to be weak long term, which isn't the intention at all. This module is also notably pretty heavy on magic items by 5e standards ( cause its not made for 5e), and that will already provide even more complexities after a fight or 2.

Completely disagree.
1-5 is just a great arc. At level 1 and 2 every fight is deadly and you have to play smart to survive. Some bad decisions can cause a tpk, and i kind of love the thrill of that. Level 3 then is cool because you get your spevialisation at three at the latest. Then 5 is cool bc extra attack/3rd level spells is a big fucking power spike.
This is assuming that you hit level 3 by the end of like...session 3 i guess, but thats never not been my experience. Being higher level is cool but I love the build to it, as much as anything.
are you thinking of me when you're with somebody else?
My character in Chamber's is pretty much assured to be Paladin, thinking Half-Elf, because while fallen Aasimar would fit, I think they are a little too strong.

Agreed. Aasimar (and yuan ti) are both slightly too strong player races.

I'd be willing to take up a DM mantle since demand is so high, but mine would be a heavy plot, heavy roleplay, no arbitrary combat campaign. Definitely 3+ level start.
Official Gimmick List:
INVENTOR OF UPICK!
LORD OF THE 11TH HOUR!
ASEXUAL!
KING SCAR APOLOGIST!
DREAMER OF THE NE0N DREAM (SUPP 2021 LAST PLACE WINNER)!
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
